Remarks

I'm currently doing Bcom from PK Roy Memorial College. I've also applied for Guru Nanak College before taking admission here. I've not availed any quota for admission. Admission criteria for my program was very easy and simple procedure. We've to fill the form from the college site and apply for the course. Overall the admission procedure was easy and simple.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I'm doing Bcom and one of the reason to chose this course is that I'm interested in commerce from my childhood and I want to pursue my career in Banking. Qualification of the faculty is driven by the task given to them and the teaching method is good and impressive. Both faculty members and teachers are kind and caring. Term exams were difficult and conducted properly by the college.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college does not provide ample of intrenship opportunities. But there are handful of internship opportunities for the students. The college should improve and provide adequate internship opportunity to the students

Placement Experience

4

Placement of my college is niether good nor bad. From semester 5 students become eligible for campus placement. There are more than 50 companies that visits the campus and the make ample of offers. Highest package is around 8 lakh per annum and average is around 2 lakh per annum. Percentage of students getting placed is more than 50%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is minimal and cost of study is also minimal. There are ample of scholarship provided by the college to the students and financial assitance is also impressive. Campus job is also provided to students to help them and build up thier skills

Campus Life

4

The name of the anual fest is PUTUS and it was conducted in the month of august and september. Availability of books and journal is quite adequte and ample and students can take advantage of the books. Many sports such as cricket, volleyball and football is allowed on the campus. There are many clubs such as arts club, science club etc.

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed. Basically there is Group discussion(GD) round and personal interview (PI)round which after qualifying one can get placed in the companies.

Remarks:

This college is near to my home and have good reputation in commerce. Its a renowned college for commerce. The fees is also very less here. The maximum fees here is 2000 yearly. There is no need for entrance exam here if you want to join UG or PG. But you have to give entrance for vocational courses. For entrance you should have just scored 60-70% in your previous board exam. This is the most driving factor to take admission here.
