Remarks
1) * Lucknow University secured 419 ranks in its entrance exam which exceeded the no. Of seats required to get admission into B. Com (Hons). * Symbiosis college of arts & commerce, Pune. I was selected in the second cut off list but as there was no direct conveyance from my home town (hardoi), had to drop my dream of getting into such a glorious Institute. 2) Yes, I availed the quota of EWS to secure my seat in National Post Graduate, Lucknow. 3) For getting into National Post Graduate College, Lucknow, one has to take a common entrance exam LUACMAT, hosted by the college itself in which 12 other colleges of the city participate. Minimum seats for B. Com (Hons) are 50, but somehow it extends up to 100. So If anyone gets a rank under 100, there are chances you might make it into NPGC. 4) On the counselling day, we were provided with a form in which we have to fill in personal details and choices of college we want to take admission into, chronologically.
Course Curriculum Overview
B. Com Hons is a professional course, provide deeper insights into respective subjects and is given more privilege by employers than the regular program B. Com. The faculty is good, experienced & supportive. Many of our teachers are PhD. Holders. Ratio of faculty : student =1:4. There are 2 internals, one subjective & another objective & it's not a big deal to pass the semester end exam as internals help students to cover the syllabus in parts.
Placement Experience
Students from science & IT streams are more likely to get placed over students from commerce streams. 50% of students get placement. I am planning to go for a master of business administration. Highest package 2-3LPA. From the 6th semester, students are eligible to sit into interviews and take various aptitude tests conducted by companies (TCS, FLIPKART, SWIGGY, etc) recruiting from campus placements.

Campus Life
We have one annual fest named "OAZ" held in February -April. Other small events are held regularly like comfest, etc. Availability of books & journals is Ok, as the ratio of Library: student is 2:4.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are 3 seater bedrooms with one table & chair & 2 wardrobes, well furnished and spacious but there are only2 common washrooms on each floor. The food is good. I would give it 7/10. The registration process is quite simple. One has to provide their personal details along with marks secured & distance of college from your hometown in hostel form. Fees can be paid in instalments or in one time payments. The hostel is quite expensive considering the facilities provided by it.
