Remarks

I have applied only for Rajalakshmi Engineering College but I didn't opt for that college since the college is too long from Home. I have joined the college through the Management quota. The admission process was totally offline. I have come in person to the college and they verified all my details Such as mark sheets, transfer certificate personally. The minimum criteria for the process to join and to apply for the course is about 60 percentage and the age requirement is above 18.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen BTech INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY because I am keen on software development and that's what I opt for this course. The student ratio is about 60. There are many faculties in the college. The faculty is always available in the college and they are well qualified with the highest degree like PhD. The teaching method is practically oriented and they always teach in an informative manner. There are three internal exams and two model exams. The exams will be quite difficult as they want us to showcase our talents. The time gap between exams will be approximately 1 month.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structures changes from management to counselling. For The management quota, the fees are about 1,40,000 and the fees for the counselling students is about 1,25,000. There are scholarship opportunities for many students. The college provides many scholarship opportunities.

Campus Life

The name of the college fest is college day which occurs once a year in April or May. There are all kind of journals and books in the library which is available all the time. The students get more information in this context as all the books are available for reference in the library. The class is neatly addressed. There are no sports activities available in the college, only the sports quota students can play inside the campus but extracurricular activities such as content writing, essay writing occurs in the college. There are some pages in Instagram carried forward by the students to update the college progress.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

Panimalar : A paradise For The Learners

My cutoff for engineering was too low to join this college but the only thing that was a favour to me is my community. I come under a reserved community, and my friends who are from other communities with higher cutoff than me couldn't make it to Panimalar. My admission to this college was through Government Counselling by choice filling. Before my choice filling, I've heard a lot about Panimalar through Social Media and I've got fascinated by their placement percentage, food quality, transport quality, etc... So, I placed panimalar at the top of the choice list and It's the only college I chose from Chennai. I've made choices majorly from Trichy like K Ramakrishna Engineering College, Saaranathan Engineering College, MAM Engineering College and other colleges around Perambalur, Salem. I was so happy when I got an admission in Panimalar. They invited me directly to the college for the admission process. Me with my dad went for the admission. There was a huge queue sitting in front of us. We got amazed by the demand for the admission in this college. After all our time in the queue we finally got into the admission room.
