Remarks
I have applied for the Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication department in 2011. The admission process is quite simple and does not include any admission test or group discussion. No counselling is required just submit the registration fees and first semester fees and get enrolled on the course. The minimum age required to get admission is 18 years and the minimum marks required is at least 60% both in matriculation and intermediate respectively. Since I belong to General Category, so I have paid full fees for the program but if someone belongs to OBC or SC/ST category, then they will definitely get benefit as they have to pay 70% of the fees (for OBC) while 50% of the fees (for SC/ST). I have applied only for this program and this College only and fully attended it. My course duration is from 2011-2015. Other M.Tech's and MBA's courses are also available in the College and the college is affiliated with Maharshi Dayanand University situated in Rohtak, Haryana.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen Electronics and Communication Engineering course because at that time this field is in the trending phase and I want to build a career in this field. On one faculty there are almost 40 students so the ratio of faculty: students is 1:40. All the faculties are Master's degree qualified in their respective fields. However, then, some are experienced and some are new joiners. The teaching method of all the faculties includes only theoretical methods and nobody provides practical knowledge. Since the course is divided into the semester and in one year there are two semesters. The semester duration is from July to December and other one is from January to June. So, in total 4 years, of course, there are 8 semesters. The examination carried out in December and June month of the respective semester. However, in the middle of the semester, sessional exams take place which is 40 marks per subject.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure includes 82500 per year cost. So for a total of 4 years, it stands out as 330000. Transport facility cost 17500 per year and if somebody avail hostel facility then its cost is 44000 yearly which includes all the accommodation and mess charges and other facilities of the hostel. There is no fees hike policy and fee stated in beginning at the time of registration, it will remain the same to the end of the course. Yes, there are scholarships, if somebody gets a rank from 1 to 10 then he/she will get 50% of the scholarship in the fees for that semester in which rank is attained. In terms of placement then, the situation is not good as not even a single person not get the job through the College because no company came to college for the placement.
Campus Life
Annual fest occurs in the College premises in March every year. It includes fun activities and various game events and curricular activities. However, no tech fest carried out in the College. The library is very wide and filled with an immense amount of books and journals. Books are available in a good amount of stocks. The classroom includes next generation technology whiteboards but not are of much use. In terms of sports, there are football and cricket events carried out sometimes. Also, some dancing related activity takes place on some occasion like an annual fest. There are no social groups, clubs and website for students that are run by students.
