College with internships and placements

I applied for DU Colleges and JIMS. I got to know about it from the Times Of India Newspaper. I applied online for the college entrance test. I went to give the test. The minimum age for the entrance test was passing to class 12th and clearance of entrance. After the entrance test, I got a call from the college telling me that I got admission to college.

I chose this course because I wanted to pursue Journalism and mass communication. I wanted to go to News Channels therefore I opted for this course in JIMS. The student ratio with the faculty was great. I have never seen such supportive faculty. The faculty treats the students like their own kids and they are very much helpful. Qualification of the faculty is very good and highly qualified. The teacher makes the notes useful and easy for the student. We have 2 exams 1st is internal and 2nd one is external exams. They are easy to clear if you attend the lectures and listen to them thoroughly.

My college provides us with internship opportunities after the 4th semester. There are many companies that have given us internships. The students have also been placed in news channels and big media houses. There are students who have been hired in Big production houses also for example halala production, ScoopWhoop, the time liners, etc. The students have got internships in government channels like Jan Uday. The stipend of every company depends upon the talent and skill but the students get more than 10,000 rs if placed at a good company.

Students are eligible for campus placements after the 5th semester. There are different companies which come to our college. There are many news channels which come to our college for hiring students. The student gets placements in Anchoring, editing, content writing, etc. I'm still in the 5th semester and I'm waiting for the placement opportunities. My plans after getting my degree are I want to go to content writing and production house jobs.

The fee structure is quite clear. The fee for a year is 127000 Rs. The for the odd semester is 66500 Rs and for the even semester is 60000 Rs. The course is for three years there is no hike in the fees policy. Financial assistance provided to the students who have low caste certificates or genuine financial problems. The college understands the problem and helps students. We can also pay fees in installments.

The annual fest in JIMS is known as VERVE. They also invite the celebrity guest for the 2 nights and it is so much fun for all of the students and the faculty. The celebrity guest is like Parmish Verma, Neha Kakkar Jass Manak, Akhil, Bassi, etc. There is a library which is full of knowledge and information-related books. The library is very huge and they have books for all the departments. The classroom has amazing facilities all the classrooms are air conditioned and projectors are available. There is a sports week specially organized. There are 3 days of sports which is having cricket matches, volleyball, basketball, races and some of the few more acitivities are included. There are many clubs like culture, singing, music. Also, there are independent clubs for each department.
