Chiranjeevi's Review On Magna College Of Engineering, Chennai

I appeared on Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Exam 2004 (TNEA 2004) I scored 236 out of 300 in entrance examination.

Magna follows the regulation syllabi as prescribed by Anna University. Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Information and Communication B.E Computer Science and Engineering, B.E Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.Tech Information Technology.

Magna College of Engineering college does not provide internship. So we cannot discuss about stipend.

There is no on campus facility. We have to depend on Off campus facility and Anna University Pooled Campus facility. There is certain criteria that we have to score about 75% or 80% to attend those campus selections.

Candidates have to pay 32500 rs per year. Also they have to pay 100 rs per paper as a exam fee for each subject. For project candidate have to pay 600 rs as a exam fee. Each semester candidate have to pay by demand draft. If candidate unable to pay within particular date they have to pay fine of rs 500.

No scholarship facility offered by our college. Loan facility can be availed from bank on providing the bonafide certificate from college.

Gender Ratio is Boys count is high compared to Girls Count. It is 60:40, No Dorm Parties celebrated in Colleges. No workshops conducted in all the 4 years of education. No cultural societies formed. No ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status prevailed.

There is no alumni network in Magna College of Engineering. So everything ends with in a class. Hard to get in touch with seniors during those times.

I got application from Anna University for Engineering Admissions , then applied for Anna University Counselling 2004. Then in counselling i chose Magna College of Engineering. In Open Category there was a last seat in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

During those time faculty pursued only Bachelors of Engineering degree. Few staffs showed great interest in teaching students. Mathematical staffs and core subject staffs handled really good. Few dry subjects are there which cannot be presented in a interesting manner.
