Remarks
I had applied for approx 20 colleges, but due to their cut-off didn't manage to get in. My score was accepted at Lords and so I was selected here. At our college, there are specific criteria for admissions, if the student scores lesser rank than the required, then he/she won't be accepted unless they opt for a Management quota seat. I had gone through the State Eamcet counseling, which was a bit of a lengthy process and a bit confusing as well.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I was interested in this. The Faculty to student ratio on average is 1:60 There are very few faculties who are actually qualified and have a good methodology of teaching. The term exams are often conducted on time, even if the syllabus has been completed or not.
Placement Experience
Only the Final year students are eligible for the placement drive so far and so most of the details are withheld. As far as the publicly released information, there were ample number of companies that have visited the campus including Microsoft, NTT Data, Accenture, CommLabs, etc Although the highest package offered was of 12lac p.a but the actual package was around 8-10lac p.a The ratio of students getting placed varies from department to department. My plan after the degree is to wither get placed or complete my higher education
Fees and Financial Aid
The Fee currently is at Rs 90+k and there is a scope for a State-sponsored scholarship. For the cost that the college is taking, the studies do not do justice at all. Although there are quite a few amenities at the campus, hardly a few of them are utilized. The usage of amenities depends from department to department, I have seen most of them being utilized in my department i.e., CSE
Campus Life
Social life is slowly becoming active in recent years, as more students are getting enrolled year by year. Annual fests, Departmental fests are conducted annually along with the sporting events such as tournaments, etc The library is one of the key attractions at the college having thousands of books for the students to get benefitted from. There used to be a large cricket ground on campus, however, in recent times it wasn't allowed to utilize. I do not have the latest updates on this. There is an active Entrepreneurship Cell having more than 8 clubs from various backgrounds wherein regular workshops and activities are conducted The E-Cell is the only student-run organization in the college.
