Remarks

No, I didn't opt for any other colleges. I found Kanak Manjari institute of pharmaceutical sciences most preferable to any other. No, I didn't avail myself of any quota for admission, I belong to the General caste. For admission criteria into my colleges, he/she must have passed 12th standard with 45 to 50 % by taking PHY/chem/bio/ mathematics as their main subjects and also got a rank in NEET OR OJEE ENTRANCE. And maximum age limit should be 18 + If he/she has got rank in NEET OR OJEE ENTRANCE, he/she has to fill the counselling form in which they have to select colleges of their own as a choice filling and should carry all other documents such as 10th and 12th certificate, ojee or neet rank card print, counselling form, birth certificate, residential certificate on the day of counselling for the verification.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I want to explore more about medicines and my deep interest in research on medicine made me chose this course. This course is for 4yrs and each yr we have a student limit of 60. Bt from 2 yrs due to increasing in the number of students during admission the student limit is 100. Whereas the faculty members are 30 in number. Our faculty members are well educated. They have completed bachelor as well as masters and some faculty have also achieved PhD degree. They are very student friendly, caring and loving in nature. The teaching method is quite appreciated either they teach through a projector or the normal marker and whiteboard, they always try some new way of teaching so that we students can easily understand. This is a 4 yr course comprising of 8 semesters, 2 semesters in each yr, and before each semester 2 internals. Passing the internals as well as the semester was not much difficult. The internal passing mark is 15 out of 30 whereas the semester passing mark is 25 out of 75 it's easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities

5

I am a 3rd yr student now. We get caught the chance of going to the industry for the internship after giving the 6th sem exam. Bt due to covid everything is stuck. And moreover, all the projects work we get in the 4th yr which is yet to come.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students become eligible for campus once they come to 4th yr ie 7th semester. MACLEOD'S PHARMACEUTICAL LTD has visited our colleges and made more offers in production, QA and QC dept. Out of 60 students 10 to 15 students getting placement. My plans after my degree are to approach the company through placement or else directly. Or else if I get qualified in GPAT, NIPER AND NET, then I would be pursuing masters outside Odisha in highly reputed colleges providing more scopes for my future.

Fees and Financial Aid

At 1st during admission, we have to pay Rs 80,000 per year and after that from 2nd yr, we have to pay Rs 70,000 either directly or instalment. For students who had to apply for tfw(tuition fees wavier scheme) during counselling, he/she has to pay 24,000 per yr during admission and from 2nd yr, there will be a reduction in tuition fees and he/she has to pay 18,800 per yr. There is no scholarship for General caste, for ST SC they can opt for the scholarship which is provided from Govt. I am a third yr student so no campus had yet come. Bt what I heard from seniors that our college brings campus from MACLEOD'S PHARMACEUTICAL LTD. It is done through written and the viva/interview on production, QA or QC dept with a package of Rs 12000 per month starting, then with an increment based on performance. No doubt many students have got selected from our college with such a small amount but now their salaries are something in lacs per month.

Campus Life

4.5

There is a highly precise library in our colleges in which books are well arranged. We have books on all subjects written by foreign authors or Indian. Many journals are available for us to study which will help us in masters and PhD degree. We can also sit there and study for how much time we want. All pharmacy entrance books are available with ease. We can get any type of author book that we want. Yes we organise freshers and farewell party I'm which everyone is actively involved and the fest is also there. Our Institute celebrates PHARMACY DAY, GANESH PUJA AND SARASWATI PUJA. In which we had a lot of fun Yes, we had official college grp in Facebook in which teachers share all type job and internship opportunities for student and also our student can become a member of All Odisha Bout pharmacy council association.

Almost 95% students get placement in this college at pharma companies at places like Delhi Mumbai at minimum salary of 15000rs to 20000rs. But the minimum percentage should be 80 to 90% to get the placement. I plan to do MPHARM after the BPHARM course.
