Remarks
I applied to Narayana Business school and Shanti business school but they weren't up to the mark when it came to teachers according to me. To be able to apply to this college, you need a compulsory mark sheet from the entrance exam, you need to be in the last year of your college at least and good ACAD scores. The college holds its own aptitude, interview, and GD so you need to score well in that also.
Course Curriculum Overview
The term exams were all on time, with no delay at all. More than 70% of the teachers are Ph.D. holders and the rest of them are in the process of getting their doctorate. The teachers and their methods are one of the USPs when it comes to this college. They are very approachable and friendly but at the same time, they are a little strict as well. Because of the online setting, we couldn't interact with the teachers a lot, otherwise, I'm affirmative that it would be a much deeper and practical learning experience. Talking about the faculty-to-student ratio, I think there are more than 20-30 faculty members and the division of students is 3. So it's pretty good. I chose this course because in my UG I had observed the back end of the work in the operations department and now I wanted to have a look at the front end of marketing as well.
Internships Opportunities
In spite of the COVID situation, the college has made sure everyone gets into an internship from the college as well. Many good companies like SBI, Kotak, Mahindra and Mahindra, ITC, Khimji Ramdas, Synoptek, Shoppers Stop, and many more came in for internships. The roles offered were diverse. The students have to do a research project on what they've in the company and it holds a heavy credit of 6 and it is necessary to move on to the 2nd year.
Placement Experience
I want to get placed in a good MNC company. There are many top-notch companies coming to hire like Asian Paints, ITC, Synoptek, SBI, Kotak, IDBI, S&P global, and a lot more. SKIPS has a record of placement of 100% every year except for the students who willingly choose to opt out. The highest packages go up to 10 lakhs per annum and the average placement is 4.5-6 lakhs per annum. Students become eligible for placements from the 4th trimester itself. Companies start coming in.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees they charge includes all study material and uniform. There is no financial assistance here based on merit. But the internships they're getting us placed in are paid. At least some of them. The internship I got into is with the company Synoptek and it is paying me a satisfactory stipend.
Campus Life
There are many many student-run groups. Alumni association club, sports club, marketing, finance, social sensitizers, communication crusaders, cultural event handling clubs, and a lot more. There are various committees as well like the student redressal committee and the anti-ragging committee. There's a wide range of books, magazines, and newspapers available in the library for everyone to access. All the classes are air-conditioned with projectors and screens along with a blackboard. The campus is small but the amenities inside are endless.
Interview Experience
Preparation for CAT pretty much-covered everything. But to prepare for the GD, you might want to go through the trending topics at the time of your interview. For your interview, you can prepare a basic introduction of yourself and be prepared for the possible questions that might be asked from your intro itself. The aptitude test is a 30 minutes test with 30 questions with VR, LR, and Quant. The test is fairly simple if you've religiously prepared for entrance.
