Remarks

It is a good college to gain a degree, peaceful not so hectic college life. It is advised to join in the college through counselling. College does not provides a huge additional value than awarding a degree. Management is conservative.

Got seat through tamilnadu government counselling (single window scheme), opted for this college considering its location, teaching and availability of seat for mechanical engineering.

Campus life = Average/Boring Gender ratio = Almost equal, Extracurricular = Rarely addressed, Competitions = Good level of it, Sports = football, volley ball, basketball ( quite good in terms of sports), College team won many zonal competitions

Hostel Facilities

I do not have experience staying in hostel, but have heard that hostels are below par. Students are advised to visit the hostels in person before enrolling. But hostels do have gym and sports room

Yeah, college has formal alumni network and informal alumni network also functions well

Exam Structure

Exams are not hectic if the students does not carry any backlogs. No special care is given for the students with backlogs

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem onwards students are eligible to attend the placement drives. companies like Amazon , tcs , Accenture, cognizant, sonacomstar, nissiki, valeo, Cap Gemini visit the campus. The highest package offered was 41LPA by Amazon and average package was 4LPA.

Not a topper but a good learner

Placement Experience:

In my department, placement will provide in the final year. In pre final year they provide internship training to the students. Nearly 10 to 15 companies gives placement in the core sector. It's packages are 25k average. For non core like IT, minimum of 20 to 40 companies will visit to the campus for placement. It's average package will be 35 to 45k.

About the placement of colleges there are many compromise to visit to college respect of different departments and the placement start as well as internships when they student enter final year. Percentage of the student getting placement where is from department to department but maximum student gets placed at the end of the year.

Self studying college with no enjoyment

Compared to some top private colleges, the infrastructure here is not very modern. Labs and classrooms are average, whereas other colleges I applied to had more advanced facilities. This college offers decent placement opportunities, especially for IT companies, but Tier-1 colleges have a stronger track record with core companies and higher salary packages. This was one of the biggest deciding factors.
