Remarks

I joined LICET by Anna University Counselling. I tried to join MIT Chrompet, got Computer Science Engineering over there for my cut-off. Since I am more passionate about mechanical Engineering, I selected LICET. Actually, it is a good choice!!

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Mechanical Engineering since I am passionate about machines and automobiles. Yeah, for each Theory paper we have a separate staff and for lab, we will be having a Technical staff and Lab Instructor Most of the staff are Ph.D. holders and some young Master's degree holders will also be lecturers. All the exams are according to Annauniversity valuation metrics and internal will be uploaded as you scored in the paper. The planning and implementation of all the activities like Academics, Sports, Cultural, Internships are really really good.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I got an internship in Hyundai, where I completed my final year project. Also got an internship in Skill-Lync with a stipend, later converted as an Employee. I am also a part of Team Turbonites, a very enthusiastic Kart building team. We fabricate Baja, Go-kart, Bicycle, E-Scooter,etc. It is a platform to apply Engineering in the actual world.

Placement Experience

from the 7th semester, students are eligible for placements. I got placed in my final semester. One of my friend placed in Alstom with 6LPA. Most of the students of LICET will opt for Higher studies. There will be a good opportunity for the students who opted for placements, getting placed will be in the hands of the student.

Fees and Financial Aid

There will be some Jesuit Scholarships, Central and State Government Scholarships. The periodic announcements will be given regularly, on how to avail of Scholarships. LICET helped me to do final year project in Hyundai I got an internship in Skill-Lync with a stipend, and later become an Employee

Campus Life

'Engenia' is the platform to showcase and develop our Non-Technical Talents. Symposium will help to develop the Technical stuff, organizing, and Team building activities. Classroom facilities and labs will have a cool atmosphere.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

An average of more than 90% of rhe students were placed during my term. Companies like amazon, juspay, adobe, hcl, cts, tcs, adp etc came and there are 500 companies that visisted our campus during my batch

Sathyabama is value for money

Likes

the classrooms in specialization are air conditioned
faculty is supportive for academic growth

Dislikes

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

Placement Experience:

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

At 8th semester the students can become eligible for campus placement and the companies visited more oftens are win etc the highest packages about 25 LP and average packers about 2.5 lpa percentage of students getting placement is above 80 percentage.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education

The thing I most liked is the campus the infrastructue
There are a many clubs so it's exciting for people who like other things then studies
The opportunities as well the alumini network

Dislikes

The campus is very crowded there are many people compared to other colleges
The category wise fee structure and the increasing fees
Charges for hostel are little more then others

Placement Experience:

As of my information the placements are pretty decent..first the placements used to take place in Vellore campus but I guess jow they have started here as well ..as of my opinion the placement stars from the 7th semester

My Review

Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology is the best Christian institute located in the centre of the city. Admission Interviews will be done by the Heads of the Department. During the interview, students will be evaluated performance, behaviour, communication, and relevant answers. If the student is selected in the interview, then based on the student's interest department will be allocated. Management fixes the fees for management Quota and the students coming from merit list under Anna University, the payment of the fee will be as per government rules. Reason for preferring this college is the best infrastructure, placements, Equal importance for sports, academics and cultural and during the end of the second year LICET will offer you summer internship program in France, Friendly staffs. Loyola-ICAM engineering college is located at the heart of the city which is very good thing for the students as most of the engineering colleges in Chennai are located at the outskirts of the city. This saves the students from all the travelling time and makes them comparatively less tired and more productive when compared to students who have to travel around two hours to reach college everyday.
