Remarks
It is among one of the best private colleges in Jabalpur. It is affiliated with RGPV University. The infrastructure of the college is quite good, the campus is surrounded by plants and greenery. It has good classrooms, labs as well as a huge library. There is also a canteen as well as a stationery shop in the college. There are many good teachers who are very helpful and regularly update you regarding any new activity and hackathon. From the 7th semesters, students are eligible for appearing for college placements. More than 60% of students got placed in various IT companies from computer science and IT branches. The average package is around 3.5 lpa and the highest package goes around 18 lpa.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are many courses in the college in which B Tech includes branches like CS , IT , EC , EE, EX , Mechanical, and Civil. Currently, I am pursuing my bachelor's of technology in the Electrical engineering branch. I was quite interested in electrical circuits and power generation which made me opt for this particular branch. Initially, there were many teachers in my branch but slowly the number kept on decreasing. Currently the faculty to student ratio is very less that is about 1:10 for my branch . The average age of lecturers are around 35-45 years and all are post graduated with some of them have done PhD. They mostly teach us through powerpoint presentations. In each semesters student has to give a few assignment tests and also mid-semester exams, the main semesters are held as per RGPV curriculum. The exam level is moderate. Every year most of the questions are repeated.
Placement Experience
The students from the seventh semester are eligible to appear in on-campus placements in our college. The companies start conducting their placement exam rounds from July to May. In most of the companies, there is a minimum percentage criterion of atleast 60% in 12th std. Many famous companies like TCS ,Wipro Hexaware almost visits every year. Other than this there are many other companies like Teradata, Amdocs, Mphasis and among big companies like Cisco visits the college. The average package of companies is around 3.5 lakh per annum. The highest package of the last year that is 2020 was around 18 lakh per annum. More than 60 percent of the computer science as well as It department students get placed in these software and IT companies. Relatively the placements of the other non cs branches like core branches is very very less. The package of companies which comes specifically for core branch is very less and salary package is also very less. I wish to get placed in a good IT company.
Fees and Financial Aid
In the year in which I got admitted that is 2018, the fee was Rs. 60,000 per year. But it varies according to branches also. The college does not by itself provide any scholarship but they provide you with information regarding various scholarships that are provided by central as well as state governments like central sector scholarship, SC-ST scholarships, OBC scholarship, single girl child scholarship and many more. They also give you information if you want to take an education loan as well. The hike in the college fees is not in a large amount. I am also getting one scholarship which has helped me financially a lot.If anyone faces a problem in paying fees he/she can talk to their respective HODs regarding the problem and they will surely suggest you or come up with any suggestion or idea for your problem so that you can pay your semester fees a little later also. If for transport you choose bus facility then it is around Rs. 12000 per year whatever may be the distance.
Campus Life
The college consists of a big auditorium "Spandan" where different activities take place on a regular basis. The annual fest of the college is conducted in the month of December, January, or February generally. The fests generally consist of 5 days. It starts with sports if you are good at any sports whether it be indoor or outdoor sports you can participate in the competitions and winners are also provided prizes and appreciation. Then many students organizes small events, any competition, stalls, and fun games in which students participate fully enthusiastically and enjoy. It is followed by a cultural night in which students show their skills and talents and then at last DJ night is organized. The college has a huge library and you can issue books from there but you need to reissue it within a particular time otherwise you are charged with a fine. Students with their friends or other people who have similar interests like in singing, dancing, etc forms clubs for example Rhythms.
