SDJIC: Marketing experience

They have great fests which are good for socializing and learning teamwork and management. Which was the very reason I selected this college and also because all my friends decided to go here as well. There is some mismanagement and few teachers who are incompetent but overall good college. The admission process is easy enough just bring all the required documents. I choose BBA because it was the easiest and convenient option. Around 350 students when I studied there i.e. 2018-2021. Most of the teachers are highly qualified and teach well. 4 exams per year. 2 internal and 2 external. 2 exams every 6 months: one internal and one external. You can also attempt again should you fail in a subject. However, if you have a ATKT in any of the first-year subjects, you will have to clear them before 3rd year.

Two internship projects are compulsory to qualify for a BBA degree. Both are unpaid. They are more reports prepared by the students. One is in the 2nd year and one in the 3rd year. The one in the second year is called SIP( Summer internship project). It is a group project of 3-5 people each. Each group has to find a company and do an analysis of the different departments they have. The second project is called WIP( Winter Internship project). It is held in the winter of the third year. It is an individual project on your selected specialization. Specialization is selected at the end of the second year.

After 3rd year you can get leads for placement. There was not a physical placement or job fair held, which may be due to covid-19. I do not remember all the companies and the offers made. However, even a year later, I get updates from the teachers in our WhatsApp group for job openings. I am not pursuing a career in BBA due to conflicting interests.

Fees increase every year but not by much. Around 2-3 thousand. I would say around 40000k per year including all the indirect costs. I am unaware of any scholarships or financial aids. I did know someone who got in through sports quota but paid full tuition. There were many leads for jobs but I did not pursue them. There was a WhatsApp group in my year which forwarded all the information required. That may be due to COVID-19. We had to do two internship projects in 3 years. One in 2nd year’s summer which was a group project. Another one in 3rd year’s winter which was a specialisation individual project.

There are two fests mainly held in this college: Zest and Inferno. Both are renowned. Zest is for freshers and is Intra college among the students for all three courses and exclusively for SDJIC students only. A good way for students to mingle and form groups. Inferno is held every year and for outsiders as well. There are much competition in this in almost all fields and you can participate in them and there is a cash prize as well for winners. Students many participate in the management of the fest as well. It is a three-level hierarchy.
