Remarks

The best college in rayalaseema region it should improve in organizing few student oriented and student driven clubs like robotics etc.

Entrance Preview

EAMCET Rank - 4872 As software industry was in full flow, I always had an interest in pursuing my degree in computer science. I was fantasized by the world of software technology, so GPREC being one of the top most colleges in AP, I opted for my best course in the best college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is in line with all other colleges and we have option to choose some extra subjects in final year. As it is autonomous institution, there is flexibility to scope in some of the interested subjects. Ours was the first autonomous batch and the syllabus wise it was not of a big change compared to the earlier batches.

Internships Opportunities

In our batch of CSE, we did not have any internship program. May be they would have improved on this aspect later.

Placement Experience

4

Our batch was not so luckiest in terms of placements. But the next batches were placed really well. Almost 300 to 400 students were clearly placed in the first few companies which have visited. In our batch, Infosys was the first company and it gave only 24 offers and later TCS did not visit as it did not get the first slot.

College Events

2

In general, there were not many cultural events conducted at college level. During our batch, there was one silver jubliee celebrations function which was done with good budget. Apart from these, there will be a national level paper presentation competitions organized by each branch. The number of participants for these will be moderate compared to any big college in cities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

During our batch the fees was fixed around 28k per annum. Management quota will cost around 8 lakhs for entire 4 years. But now the fee structure is decided by individual colleges and it is priced high as it is one of the good colleges of Andhra pradesh.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not personally availed any loan facility. But college is facilitated by andhra bank inside the campus and people usually get all the help required for applying loans. Apart from these there are few motivating awards given by college and the department to support few of the bright students.

Campus Life

5

Currently college has good very good infrastructure including highly facilitated labs, indoor stadium, gym for recreation. In my view, the social life is not so great and it would resemble a typical college as it is in one of big cities, it is yet to improve on social life. If you are interested in sports, college would help with all the infrastructure required.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There is no hostel available for boys. As per my knowledge, people really appreciate the facilities for the girls hostel. Few new buildings were constructed very recently to manage hostels inside the campus. Earlier they were around 10 km away from campus.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network of the college is seriously high and its very helpful. Now a days, i see the frequent mails from the placement cell of the college to visit college and take few mock interviews for the final year students who are about to face campus interviews and many of the alumni turn up to help students experience the corporate interviews. And they have hosted new site for alumni where we can get the info about any of the alumni who have registered in the site and get help from them.

Exam Structure

We will have a day gap in between for the external exams. But there wont be any gap for the internal exams. Sometimes for few subjects, you even feel that one day is not completely enough. For those, we always feel the schedule is hectic. Else, it is cool enough.

Faculty

4

Some of the faculty members are extremely good. The basic of CSE, the C language was taught very well in the first year and the faculty always tried to ignite the enthusiastic minds with freaky problems. And CSE faculty was young and some have the energy and some lack the experience. Senior members like HOD are extremely good in their subjects and it was always interesting to be in their classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The best and for some it could be worst part also , it doesn't matter whether you're a mechanical engineering student or EEE or CSE you should have to learn every single programming language from C to python including DSA and cloud computing which will help you to switch your career easily if you want. but however at the same time the mechanical students feel stressed alot. because they have to study their own field subjects which are not easy at the same time they have to clear the programming languages which are completely different from mechanical subjects

Placement Experience:

If I talk about my branch, as per my knowledge from 6th semester onwards the students can sit in the placement run. The college offers placement training with individual of expertise from that respective subject. Many top companies visit the campus to list out, AWS, INFOSYS, JMAN, TCS, IBM are some if them. More than 50 lakhs package is secured. The average lies around 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placed varies from branch to branch and for some branches it's 100%, the average package for them would be 3 lakhs per annum, and the highest goes around 12 lakhs per annum. Students can apply off campus if they didn't get placed.
