Remarks

The college I very good when it comes to infrastructure, teaching staff, and other facilities. The library is huge. The drawback is the less number of patients in OPD. The admission for the BAMS course occurs based on the NEET exam scores. Usually, the admission is completed by September. The reason I preferred this college over others is because of its infrastructure and teaching staff. They are very cooperative. I used college Dunia, shiksha.com, and some other facebook blogs while selecting this college

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is lengthy as it includes ayurvedic and modern medicine but at the same time, an ayurvedic doctor gets to practice both parties so it's great. For every 5 students, there is 1 teacher. We have a mentor: mentor system where 5 students are under 1 mentor. All the teachers are highly qualified with a Master's degree in their field of teaching. They teach with the help of presentations and case discussions which covers both theoretical and practical part. 2 Semester exams are conducted every year and they are easy to pass if one studies well.

Placement Experience

3

The students in the college are provided with 1 year of compulsory internship which includes rural and civil hospitals in the state. After that, each student is capable of pursuing jobs elsewhere. After the degree one can do clinical practice, or work in a hospital or pursue further post-graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for the 2017 batch are 11-12lakhs for 5.5 years however there has been a hike to upto 24 lakhs/5.5 years. There is a scholarship program for EBC students and students belonging to the reservation category. I did not avail of any financial assistance or scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

The college conducts social events such as annual gatherings, freshers parties, farewell parties, sports gatherings, and many more. The college library has over 20,000 books and journals and research papers. Apart from that, there is ample studying space. Students can play basketball, cricket, badminton, table tennis, lawn tennis, football, and other such sports games on a college campus.

Interview Experience

3.5

Admission happened on the basis of neet marks. Rounds were conducted and merit lists were declared. After which confirmation form of particular college had to be selected. After the selection in Dy Patil, I had to visit the college and fill the retention form to confirm my seat. Later on, I paid the 1st year fees.

As an ambition of becoming a doctor and serving society, I opted for this course. faculty to student ratio is quite high with more than 6 professors per subject and about 10 for each department. qualification of faculty is minimum MD in the respective subject. timely exams are taken but if you study regularly no worries about getting passed with good marks.
