Remarks

Reputed institution with all necessary facilities available like hostel, library, labs, gym, cafeteria. Also affiliated with the sushila rewari hospital. Better infrastructure compared to other colleges in the state so I opted for this only.

Course Curriculum Overview

Updated curriculum as per advised by Medical Council of India. Sushila tewari hospital also provides good clinical experience. Faculties are very helpful and experienced espl. Anatomy HOD Dr AK Singh is great.

Placement Experience

Every student has 1 year compulsory rotatory internship in the hospital attached to college after completion of the course. But stipend given to interns is very low at rupees 7000/ month.

College Events

Various Cultural events are organised from time to time like crescendo (yearly) which provides opportunities for the students to show their talent in sports, arts or academics. Other events like Freshers party or farewell to seniors.

Fees and Financial Aid

No such scholarship is offered by college even though the fees is very high and is not affordable for any middle class student.

Campus Life

Labs are well equipped and library is air conditioned, spacious and well maintained, provides peaceful environment to study. There's no WiFi though. cricket ground, badminton court, gym are also present.

Hostel Facilities

For the first two years a hostel room is shared by two people. Hostel is not well maintained though. Enough hostel rooms are available for students. Mess food is also good. PGs are also present nearby with nominal rent.

Placement Experience:

In GEU, placements are good and this was the main reason I took admission here. Companies visits here from Hyderabad offices and even Pune offices who doesn't just gives us jobs but intenrships opportunities too. Around 20% of the students even get PPO as our college teaching and training is such that getting job here is a cakewalk.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

Placement Experience:

Placements are good as you all know its IIT. The avg package of all branches is still around 20 LPA . For CS its around 35-40 LPA. And for all other branches its greater than 15 LPA. Im a first year student so i have not seated in placement but there are so many companies that visit iit roorkee for placements, like google,microsoft, ibm, oracle, etc Highest package secured by a student this year is 1.5 crore. Nearly 95 percent of students get placed every year for sure. My plans after degree is to get placed and do my job.

I choose government medical College Haldwani because of its affordable fee structure. Excellent clinical exposure and reputation as one of in Uttarakhand. It offers a balance of quality education and hands on patient care due to its association with a high patient hospital. Comparison with other college colleges applied to. Serial number one,Doon medical College -this college is also good, but this college is new, so I prefer GMC Haldwani over this Serial number two, Government medical College, Almora- This College is also new and located on Hill area, so I didn't prefer this as this is very far from my house. Admission process at Gmc Haldwani:- Eligibility is 10+2 with PCB and neat qualification and minimum age 17 years, Exam accepted. NEET UG is mandatory.
