Remarks
I mainly chose this college because the environment over here is very nice, there is no type of stress whatsoever. The faculty is too good and they help around alot. I could say the bad aspect of this college is that a small percentage of the teachers are not good and they act on their own will and do not teach well which causes problems for students. The admission process Is simple, it's based on a first come first serve basis. We have to just fill a form and submit it for review, then the office admin will ask us to come on another date to pay the fees in cash and the student is allotted a class and I'd card. I preferred this college because it is very near my house and it's very accessible with 3 bus stops and the locality is great too.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose BCom because I wanted to become a CMA, a commerce background is really helpful in such professional courses. There are many faculty members so it's not a thing to worry about but the language department has a limited number of faculty And the faculty are well versed in their own subjects with M.com and mba qualifications and 10-15 yrs of experience. The 3yrs course was divided into 6 seems, each sem was of 6months including vacation of one-month classes were held for 4months and then exams, The exams were of 70 marks total and the passing criteria was 25 marks or more, It was easy to pass as the paper would go to Bangalore University where the maximum number of examiners did lenient corrections
Placement Experience
There are some campus placement offers that come in during the 5th sem. only 5th sem and 6th sem students i.e 3rd yr or final year students can apply for these placements which are usually from banks like hdfc , icici or some insurance companies, I myself have never been to such campus placements because I never wanted to work in a bank so I do not know much about the packages offered but I do know that they employ only a few of them from the college scoring more than 80% in 4th or 5th semester.I plan on doing CMA after completion of b.com
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is comparatively less than other colleges in Bengaluru..but it does keep increasing year by year when I joined in 2017, BCom was 45000/yr and now it has increased to 56000/yr. There are some concessions provided for sc/st students and if u provide a letter from your parents asking for installments in paying the fees they will review it accordingly and provide installments. There are no such scholarships inside the college but the student can apply for external scholarship programs provided by the government of India and Karnataka and some private institutions There is very limited campus placement in the college with mostly banks coming to offer jobs. I didn't want to join a bank so do not know much about the stipend situation
Campus Life
There are many fests conducted like science fest, commerce fest, etc but the main fest was Anjali which was conducted by the senior-most semester students every semester after one and a half month after the semester started which has lots of competitions like dancing, singing, rangoli making, many many more in which everyone can participate free of cost. There are 2 libraries on campus, one for PU students and the other for Degree students, it is very big and has lots of books which are very useful in the long run. We can notice many students in the library few days before the exams referring to different sorts of books from different publishers. The sports committee is also present which conducts annual sports day including both indoor and outdoor sports and competitions with trophies and gifts like 100m race, Javelin throw, carrom board, chess, etc. A gym has also been maintained by the sports committee for fewer charges
