Course Curriculum Overview

4

Across higher education there is a growing demand for systematic and thoughtful student learning assessment. In general, however, state legislators, state higher education boards, and administrators have been more enthusiastic about assessment than have academics. In part, faculty members’ ambivalence towards assessment is fueled by their perceptions that much of what is done in the name of assessment is of little use to them in improving their own teaching, student learning, or the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, As both an educator and a partner in Quintessential Careers, I get very frustrated when college students graduate and then tell me that they can’t get a job because employers disdain their lack of experience. We try to impress on students how phenomenally important it is that they complete at least one internship, and preferably several.

Placement Experience

Deciding upon a field of interest, choosing a major, and implementing a career strategy can seem like a daunting task. Many college students take it upon themselves to find a major, craft a resume and cover letter, and dive into professional interviews, but these tasks do not have to be completed alone, nor do they have to be completed.

College Events

All Day Spotlight on Collaborative Research: Throughout the weekend, be sure to visit the following locations to see some of Skidmore's exciting faculty/student collaborative research. Posters and other displays highlighting this work can be found in the Tisch Learning Center (psychology and neuroscience, first floor; sociology, anthropology, and social work, second floor), Dana Science Center (geosciences and environmental studies, first floor; chemistry and physics, second floor; biology, psychology and neuroscience, third floor), and the Williamson Sports Center (exercise science, first floor).

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the MCA course varies depending on the institutions and universities offering it. For example in IGNOU, the course fee is around Rs.12, 200 for each semester excluding other elective subjects but in BITS, Pilani the fee structure for MCA is up to Rs.30, 000/-. Usually the Government and government aided institutions charges less fee for this course compared to the private institutions.

Fees and Financial Aid

It will help you ease into your college career, and going to a three-year college may allow you to remain closer to home while you attend college, to see if you want to attend in the long term. If scholarships and grants don’t cover your full expenses, community college students can use educational loans.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus Life: Brilliant, vibrant, beautiful Extra-Curricular Activities: a whole lot and just awesome Events: Right from cultural to technical to fun you get to taste everything Students: From all parts of the country and some abroad students as well. Mess are messed up anyways. Sports: Lot of sports opportunity like Tennis, Cricket, Badminton, TT, Football, Track events, Basketball, etc. Although I never played them and I regret now.

Hostel Facilities

4

Students who are admitted to the hostels are provided food in the mess. All the messes, except the research scholars, have been outsourced. The hostel messes are run by experienced and qualified caterers. The messes offer meals at moderate rates.Hostel admission, fees and discipline admission to the hostels will be subject to the recommendations of the concerned Head of the Department, the approval of the Chief Warden, and subject to availability of rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

When choosing colleges, students put a high priority on finding the best academic programs for their field of study. While this is obviously important, another factor that potential students should consider is the alumni network at each of their prospective choices. Alumni networks do more than help fund Alma Maters; they become a professional and personal community to aid graduates in advancement throughout the course of their lives. With this in mind, the university or college one chooses for undergraduate, and post-graduate work becomes more than only a place to garner an education. It is also a place to build the foundation for their future.

Exam Structure

Learning Outcomes. Is there a comprehensive list of program learning outcomes? By that we mean the knowledge, skills, and values students are expected to know at the completion of the program. Depending on whether it is an undergraduate or graduate program, the level of sophistication may be different. There should be no strict rule on the number of outcomes addressed, but the list should be reasonable, well-organized, and take into account any national disciplinary standards that are appropriate.

In MCA 70% of students get the placements. We have the best placements in our college. They will recruit the students while they are pursuing their degrees. And we have the highest package of 24 LPA. Till now more than 75% of students are placed. My plan is to get a placement in our college after getting my degree.
