Remarks

The whole management system is dull and doesn't make much effort to bring any change there is more of judging going on from their side instead of improvising and work for betterment.

CG PET Percentage of marks obtained - 60% As it is a government college, my parents don't have to pay much for something I don't want to make career in.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

Personally I am totally against the course structure as too many subjects are included in the particular course. And syllabus and examination pattern and the time given to study a particular subject is not enough to actually study and gain enough knowledge in that subject. For example we have a subject Programming in C which is one of the 36 core subjects that we have to study in 6 semesters. So for a subjet that important we get only 4 months to study it along with 5 other equally important subjects. This time is enough to prepare the subjects to score in exam but is not enough to study it.

Internships Opportunities

No our college doesn't provide internship. For vocational training and internship we are given about a month of time during which we need to complete our training and then present them what we did learn in that duration.

Placement Experience

0.5

Our college doesn't provide job placement we have to create opportunities fir ourselves so there's nothing wrong in that for those who have gaind knowledge and not only the marks, placement is not an issue for them. And for someone in a technical field, job should not be the primary matter of concern for them. I feel Research and development is what engineer is supposed to do. So the first priority of an engineer should be research and development.

College Events

2

Engineers day is the biggest event of the year. Its like a annual function. Sports event takes place annually. Included sports are Badminton, Cricket, Football, Kho Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball and athletics. Both of them are given great importance by the college administration and students and are held fare and everyone is given equal opportunity.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our Annual fees is around 25k. It's totally feasible and the mentioned amount is the fees for general. Girls get 100% scholarship. ST/SC get around 70% scholarship. It's a government college and so many government policies are applied and many kind of scholarships are provided.

Fees and Financial Aid

The ST/SC and OBC categories get good scholarship from government, female students are also provided with good scholarship facility.

Campus Life

2.5

Ratio of male to female is 3:1. Students here don't party much except for birthdays. But short road trips is a regular thing for us because of the natural beauty and great natural attractions in Bastar. Not a good support is shown by the college in inter college sports competitions. For participation the complete effort is made by the student himself. Even the accessories are also not provided by the college. We don't have any guidance for competition. If a student is capable of handling it all him-selves he is free to and if not he is not going to receive any guidance from college side. Discrimination on basis of religion, race or ethnicity is never seen here in our college and neither sexism. Mostly the students here are of economic status so nothing here too. No one in our college is politically active. Annual voting is done, President, vice president, secretary and joint secretary are elected each year but the whole process ia very calm and is not given much importance.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facility and food is average not so good but enough to get used to it and doesn't affect us in any ways it is comfortable enough, clean enough and the environment is adjustable the fees is not at all high. PG rentals are reasonably priced the price satisfies the services offered nothing too expensive here.

Alumni/Alumna

Not much help from seniors they are calm neither they help us nor they create any trouble for us basically there is not much of an interaction with seniors.

Exam Structure

The complete course is divided in 8 semesters to be completed in 4 years of which first 2 semesters include Fundamentals of engineering. The core branch related subjects start from 3rd Semester and in each semester we have 6 subjects. Each subject is divided into 5 units and in the examination of a particular subject we are asked 2 long questions and one short question from each unit. The Maximum Marks in theory examination are - 80 Practicals are conducted of 40 marks.

Admission

Admission here is done through counselling. After the declaration of PET ranks and declaration of counselling dates, counselling form is supposed to be filled in which I had to mention those colleges I wanted to attend counseling of. Then I received a call for counselling and in counselling I was alloted my seat.

Faculty

2.5

Visiting faculty of our college is much more sincere than our permanent lecturers and HODs. They might be highly qualified but their knowledge and qualifications are of no use to us as they are too dull and insincere to pass that to us. For them our standards are too low and so they don't make any efforts.

The College is the only Institute of its kind in Chhattisgarh. It has an average infrastructure and the campus is small in size. There are many few colleges in-country offering b.tech in dairy technology, the admission process is very simple and also the fees is very cheap as compared to any other colleges, the professors are well qualified and they provide overall a good environment for study.

The college was established in 2009 and is therefore still growing. The staff and facilities are working very hard to create exceptions and achievements. As the college is comparatively new from others. Therefore, more hard work can be seen in the part of faculties. This gives students studying now a great advantage to learn and gain more.
