Remarks

The college life is best part of a person's life. It is a beginning of adulthood life. Our college ensure to give a better campus life to all those who enrolled.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course I opted was m.com that is masters in commerce, commerce is a subject which requires recent updates. And my main subjects were finance and taxation. Taxation is something that changes or varies from year to year. Every year updating of textbooks were made accordingly.

Placement Experience

1

Placement is the only factor which has a negative mark about our college. Even though placement cells are inactive, our faculty provide special classes for students for cracking the exams like NET, SET, etc.

College Events

4.5

Entrepreneurial fest is conducted every year under the guidance of commerce department. This is to find out the entrepreneurial skills among the young talents. Every students of our department should participate in the fest. It is an opportunity for the students to showcase their business talents.

Fee Structure And Facilities

A fees is to be paid at the time of admission, that is building fee, library fee, course fee, etc. Then only exam fees (half yearly) and certificate fees to be paid at the time of course completion is to be paid. In order to secure admission under management seat is necessary. But it is not applicable for merit, sports, cultural and physically disabled seats.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship was avialed by me on Other Backward Community. After joining for the course, I had to take certificate of joining the college, and submitted it along with the marklist to Akshaya center near by. Abaerage amount provide as scholarship was around ?1000

Campus Life

Campus Life - my graduation as well as post graduation are from the same college itself, the Cochin college. The campus experience as a graduation student and as a post graduation student were different. Gender ratio girls to boys were 3:1. Majority of the campus were filled in with girls. Extracurricular activities were also given priority.

Alumni/Alumna

Every student enter into college with the fear of getting ragged. In our college we had a different experience. Ragging had another version. Of having fun. The seniors who ragged us were our best friends. We are also allowed to participate in alumni function.

Admission

I was the student of the same college for my graduation. When it came to post graduation I mostly preferred the same college itself. First I had to apply online under the university, various colleges where opted. Along with that I took a form from my college for sports quota admission. The form was duly filled and submitted. After a week of scrutiny, a list was published. My name was listed first for the course I opted. Next week I went for the verification of certificates and admission.

Faculty

4

The faculties of our department are major part of the victory achieved by the students. There are almost 12 teaching staffs in our department. One male teacher and 11 female teachers. Majority comes under the age group of 35-45 years old. Most of the senior teachers retired during the previous years. Majority of the teachers are awarded with Ph.D. Our teachers are free to approach for any doubts for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
