Remarks

Apeejay College of Fine Arts is a popular college in our city. I researched it online and compared it to other colleges, my main motive to join this college was to have maximum possibilities to improve my personal and professional skills and be more confident as this college has many fests and events which require us to be good at communication skills. As the name suggests the college is useful and worth all the money invested only if you are willing to pursue a career in performing arts or design. Because no career opportunities or placements or any or campus placement drives were held for commerce students. As I'm a commerce graduate from this college I can say that not even a single company forgets about international or known but not even a local company came to this college. No information or guidance was given to the students about any opportunity or interview. All they did in these three years was filling their pockets with fines and fees way higher than other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course curriculum was fine. The teachers were helpful but only if it was related to their subject. Outside the class, not much guidance was provided. Although there used to be proper lectures and the teachers used to do their part fairly well. Web seminars, presentations, business quizzes, and other co-curricular activities were held from time to time. The student ratio was almost equal. The teaching method was mostly classroom studies and presentations and files and reports were asked to be made by the students. The mid-semester terminal exams were held from time to time almost a month before the University exams to give a fair idea of the exam pattern and important topics. The level of the examination was decent and you can pass with good marks if you studied the whole book and crammed it up and filled at least 36 pages in the university examination(pun intended).

Placement Experience

0.5

As I've said before, the placements were horrriiiibbbblleeee here. Not even a single company cane to this college for campus placement drives. No guidance and information regarding off-campus interviews were given either. I don't think even a single student from the commerce department got any job or internship opportunities through campus placements. Most of the students chose to do masters from different colleges after graduation. Others were searching for job or internship opportunities on their own without any guidance from the college or the faculty. The hopes were high for placements as they showed in their prospectus but got reallyyyyy disappointed with it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Okay! So about the fee structure, all I've to say is be ready for some heavy burden on your parent's pockets. The fees here are way higher than other colleges in the city. I don't know why but all they mainly focused on was how to have more money charged from students in the form of fees and fines and other fests and events entry fees as well. The fee structure was almost 60,000 per year which is around 2,50,000 for three years including all other things such as books and fines. Where the other colleges used to charge fine around 50-100 max this college used to charge fine around 500-1500. Apart from these scholarships and financial assistance is given to only the University toppers I guess. About job and internship opportunities well as I've said before, the placements were horrriiiibbbblllleeeee. Not even a single company came for campus placement and no guidance and information regarding off-campus interviews were given either. Not even one student from BCom got any job here.

Campus Life

3

This college is only famous for its college life I guess. As it's mainly an arts college lot of fests and events were organized very frequently. Be it talent hunt, festive celebrations, events by design and performing arts department, inviting popular celebrity guests and all. The crowd of the college was better than other colleges though.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Firstly every course have different fee structure. As my course is BCOM so i think if you need to make some higher knowledge of commerce you should go for it because it can help you to make your overall basic knowledge good even if you don't related to commerce stream in 11th or 12th. the way of teaching in the collage is good but still some of the teachers don't have interest to teach their student in the better way. exam system in the collage is good and its difficuly level is moderate also its depend on the subject and point of view of the students

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for enrollment into campus placements in the 2nd semester . We have been enrolled into placement classess and we will be graduating in 2023. According to the stats we have around 800+companies for placements and avg pacakge offered is 5LPA. Currently, I am not into placement so talking about the top placements and the ratio of placements will be biased. But we have been provided with top notch facilities to help develop skills and crack interview. Top recruiters - delloit, kpmg, JpMorgan etc. short internships were provided to students in their first year and with ending of 2nd year we will be doing a full force internship.
