St.joseph's best in many ways

Good thing about St. joseph's they will make the students to look in a professional way starting from the dress code.Overall experience in my point of view is good.You won't feel good while studying in St.Joseph's but when once you go out of the college you will know its valuable inputs. Food served here is totally fantastic.I can give 9/10.Its highly rated. There is a Small chapel for Christian students, A temple for Hindu students and a mosque for Muslim students. Practical exposure is the only drawback which i found in St.joseph's and intake of core companies were very less. That is the troubling factor.Anyway everything in on our hand.

Based on the 12th standard cut-off marks, I have gone through counselling which i want to take mechanical engineering. Based on my cutoff marks(196/200)i have opted to st.joseph's college of engineering where i took mechanical engineering.

Overall it has been good. When comes to the standard of faculty, it has been good overall. But less practical exposure which I found as a fault. Most of the Anna university affiliated colleges are in such a way. In the case of elective, college only will selecting our elective subject not us.

No companies offered internship in this college and no companies came in such a way for internship. We cant expect intern ship category in this college may be we can try it outside. Once i heard IBM put worth that intern ship offer in this college. In case of mechanical engineering, no companies came so far.

Placements has been good.overall 80% of the students will be placed.But thing is most of the companies coming for placements will be IT sector companies.Core companies intake will be very less. IT Companies like Wipro, Cognizant, Vesta, Zoho, HCL, Infosys are the permanent placement visitors of this college offering around four lakhs per annum. Core companies like Saint Gobain, Renault Nissan are in /off companies in this college offering around 3.5 lakhs per annum.

When we talk about st.joseph's, Christmas celebration is the highlighted one and college cultural is the fun factor. College symposium will be held in a grand way.Christmas celebration will be held in college auditorium in which traditional Christmas songs will be sung by the choir and cultural event will be held. During college day, Cultural will take place.From each departments competition will be held like dance, miming, variety shows.Finally first three places will be given cash price awards. Symposium event winners will be awarded with cash prizes too.

Fees structure will be reasonable one compare to other private colleges in Tamil Nadu. For day scholars fees will be around Rs.1 lakh per year(inclusive of tuition fees, Transport, Morning breakfast and lunch)For hostlers, same fees as mentioned for day scholars additionally they have to pay around Rs.30, 000 for accommodation in hostel.(So overall 1.5 Lakhs one year).

Students can avail the scholarship given by the Tamil Nadu government. College also giving merit scholarship for the meritorious students for respective students for each year. So it motivate us to study well.

Here zero percent ragging.So no need to worry and also one of the safest institution for the ladies to learn. Hostel day celebration will be held by the hostel students in a grand way so that they can enjoy to the core. Food issued to the particular hostel students on the particular day will be fantastic.Every student will be yearning fort that articular day in St.joseph's.College have frame some strict rules in dress codes in order to look professionals for both gents and ladies. Sports will be given much importance. There is no fees for sports students so they can study for free. Labs will be good there won't be any issue in it.Technical seminars will be given the guest lectures from various fields.

Hostel rooms will be good . There won't be any restricted seats in hostel. So there is no need to go for PG. Because food we get here will be fantastic. No where you can't find such quality food in any college institution. I am very sure about it. There will be separate mess for both non vegetarian and vegetarian students. During festival days, Food feast will be in a high grandeur.

Here alumni network is very poor. Very frankly there is no alumni network lasting in this college. They are not giving important to alumni meet at all. But we can have seniors in the college only by ourselves not by the college.

Exam structure is better. Here there will be three model exams. During model exams, there won't be any holiday in between .So those days will be hectic.But that gives you a better result in the semester examination.
