My journey of architecture at SMAID

Admission in Bachelor of architecture is the process conducted by ACPC, after national level aptitude test-NATA which is conducted by Council of Architecture, a constitutionalised body of GOI. There are many reasons to secure admission in SMAID such as, SMAID is run by CVM.The lush green campus with immense open areas within and around.Supportive faculty members and friendly peaceful college culture where we learn and play together. After joining this institution, I realised what values are strengthened in personal and professional perspectives which will help us survive in every black and blue of life. It's a 5 year course.the main focus of the course is developing creative side of students along with technical knowledge. Maximum subjects are design based which demands regular guidance from faculty members. A generous student teacher ratio is 10:1 which helps in understanding. All faculty members are very supportive and they interact individually to check out our progress. Even during lockdown, we received regular subject updates and online discussions. All the faculty members are master degree holders and many of them are also practicing architecture which gives additional practical exploration to students as well. All the theoretical knowledge is transformed into practical activities through assignments. Hardwork and innovative ideas are ways to earn good credit.

Off campus internships are mandatory as a part of curriculum. This includes one semester and knowledge of how the real life is manage and learning working drawings properly done

More than 40% Students graduated from SMAID opt for higher studies abroad. Most of them get absorbed at the places where they do their training during the graduation as a part of curriculum.

As per Fee Regulation Committee, annual fees are 1,32,000 but due to pandemic conditions, CVM has cut down fees to 90,000 this year for new admissions. Other scholarships as per GOI guidelines are given here as well.

Navaratri, Holi, Annual function, Valedictory function, Janmashtami, Freshers party, Food festival, Youth festival, Sports day, And etc festivals and events are held in our college . also we have technical events, quiz competition, volcano , NASA ,COA competitions in extra curricular activities .We won nationals level competition among the 536 colleges and me and my friends won this we also have Related study programs.we had workshops in our college namely wood workshop, clay workshop, metal workshop. Also Our library have very peaceful environment and available of any kind of architectural books magazines.

Ac /non ac hostel for girls and boys in separate premises is available at affordable rates within the campus. We also have mess facilities there. A faculty member is allotted to coordinate with hostel coordinator for any needs of the students.
