Student's Review On BPHE Society's Ahmednagar College, Ahmednagar

Positive feedback regarding the faculty from the crowd, Ahmednagar college being at the top overall among the ones in the town, I wanted a field shift and MA English can be opted by students from all fields.

This course has no scope unless we have a bEd degree or clear NET/SET exam, no industrial exposure was provided, no insights were given regarding research or national seminars, no research papers alloted, no clear mention of future scope but boasting the achivements of faculty to secure admissions. Faculty was rigid and adhered to outdated notes and teaching methodologies.

MA English Literature has no job opportunities unless accompanied by bEd for school level teaching or NET/SET certification for college level teaching. It doesn't help getting into bpo or english training industry either. No placement department for this course in the college. Towards the end of the course we are forced to take admission to bEd as the only option.

Extracurricular activities are constantly encouraged. Every department has its own set of cultural/ technical events along with gala days, food courts and an annual event. The events are open for outsiders and attract huge crowd. Registeration for participation is easy and events are handled with accuracy by making management teams.

The main library is well equipped along with seperate libraries and buildings for different departments. Labs are equipped, sports and cultural events are encouraged, the campus has 5 canteens( both veg and non veg) and in campus chapel. Classrooms are clean.
