The department of Mechanical engineering at sri venkatesa perumal college of engineering and technology, puttur was established in the year 2011 and is offering b tech in mechanical engineering with an intake of 60 students. the intake has been enhanced to 120 students from the academic year 2013-14 with the approval of AICTE, New delhi.

the department has started mechanical engineering technical association in the year 2014. META has been conducting META.

SVPCET has links with many MNC companies. every year nearly 100 to 300 students are placing in many companies such as TCS, CTS, Tech mahindra, InfyTQ, Cognizant; etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

with government scholarship we are paying 5 thousands. it seems so good.

Campus Life

SVPCET has green and peaceful atmosphere. at is far to urban life and biodiversity is cool. thanks to SVPCET.

Good college with proper management

Placement Experience:

The placments are not good for this collges because it doesnt have any better managment for placments. from 7th semester majot placments starts. the companies visited are HCL,TCS, infosys,flipkart and so on. The highest pachage i heared is 5 lakhs and lowest is 2.5 LPA the percentage of students are getting placed is less due to lack of skills.My plan is to secure job from good company.

In our college they are good campus selections. After completion of 6th sem they will interview and Students get selected. Most companies are tcs, wipro, cognizant and google, amazon etc. in our highest package is around 90lahk

Yes the placements are good in my college but for the students who study well , the collge almost have 5k students strength in final years it not possible to give all the students high paying jobs since the companies who pay higher recruit less students , But most of students are being placed but for low packages In the end of 3rd year the placements are started and most important thing is students are categorised by their CGPA so maintaining 9+ Cgpa is very important for high paying jobs There are almost more than 100 companies which visit our college and i dont the exact numbers , The highest package obtained by our college student is 80 lpa

In the recent passed out batch i.e., 2019-2033 batch, we got nearly 1300 placements in our college for all branches. Our Dean sir provides us with so many interships and job offers from 2-2 onwards. Not only interships and jobs, we are also provided with so many courses in emerging technologies like AI, ML, cloud computing, data analytics, and data science. Not only for computer-aided branches but also for core branches we are getting so many placements. We got 1800 offers for the recently passed out batch.

In the fifth semester, students are selected for campus placements. Companies are HCL, TVS, TCL, Microsoft company etc. I visited the HCL company. HCL company offered me 7 years agreement. Eighty per cent is compulsory to get placement at campus selection.

College life is most memorable

Placement Experience:

You can't expect any on-campus jobs here, the placement levels are very low. Only start-ups and local companies visit here however you can try different off-campus jobs. The highest off-campus package is 12 LPA and here the percentage of placements is too low as it is a tier 3 college. So I recommend if you choose your career or expect a high package, then this will be not for you.
