Best college for women

The course curriculum is designed very appropriately, with more focus on practical classes which is a must for computer science courses. The programming language with all basics as well as advanced level is given importance which is actually needed for the career growth or opting higher studies. Overall curriculum is good.

Placement opportunity is really good at our campus. Many off campus and on campus interviews are conducted. All good performing students get placed every year in good companies. Others get admission in best universities for higher education. The students with good academic records were taken for internship at the college itself. Our college has a very good record for placement provided.

We have events conducted by our alumni and many other festivals and annual day is celebrated yearly. There are many clubs in which events are organized for creating awareness. Training for self-defence and to be one independent is provided for up bringing a strong woman. It fun to during the events as all the ex-students, seniors and current students enjoy together.

Fee structure is very budget friendly. For my course the fee to be paid is 16,000 INR every year which amounts to a total of less than 50K. We can pay the fee semester wise which is a relief for those who cannot pay at one go. Scholarship is also provided for students with low income background.

Our college is a very old college started on Tamil Nadu for educating girls. Besides the academic excellence provided we are encouraged to participate in many activities organized by the college. We have NSS, Youth Red Cross and red ribbon club. The red ribbon club is a club to create awareness about AIDS. It is an on campus programme for students. We have a very good playground, laboratory and a computer centre with internet connectivity.

There are 5 hostels accommodating 1000 students. No mobile phones are allowed, coin booth is available for making calls. Full discipline is maintained and no group study allowed during study hours. There is a chapel where Christian students may attend the service regularly. Hostel is in good condition with water and electricity available all time. There are drinking water coolers available in each corners of floor. Toilets are cleaned regularly.

Admission at Sarah Tucker College is quite easy. I am a student of B.Sc. Computer Science and for admission I applied online by filling the form and attaching the required documents. The eligibility criteria asked for my course was that the applicant should have passed class 12th with 50% Mark? in relevant subjects applying for. After the verification sets was allotted by conducting a counselling.

Fairly friendly, highly qualified and experienced are the faculty of our college. Their expertise in teaching could be understood from the way of teaching. All topics are taught in detail and we understand very easily. They also put effort to help weak students by conducting extra classes.
