My experience with jntu kakinada

The facilities lack areJim (No proper facilities ) Canteen (Not soo good) Idea room (not available) Management interactions (i don't see any positive vibes from management).

Entrance examination - GATEK I got 95% percentile I have opted this because it is one of the famous college for high voltage Engineering.

The course is good and the project guidance is good. The electives are given by the Head according to availability of the staff. We had the best laboratory for high voltage engineering lab, with best technicians.

The interns you need to look. The college/head will help in talking to the companies. I didn't attend any intern, so i don't have any info about this in details. As i joined on gate the stipend offered is 8k per month, I think now it is increased to 12k.

The placements that you will get mainly in software.The Companies that visit the campus are TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO, CAPGEMINI.For the Mechanical and the Civil you will get LLOYD and etc.

The college is good in conducting the events. you will have the annual celebrations, departmental celebrations which include the sports and cultural events. Also they will celebrate the Alumni meet.

The Fees is low as it is a govt college. The fee i paid is 15k per semester and the 7k in the joining. The BE and ME programs are costing less fee but the MS program is costlier.

I don't think the college will offer any loan. You need to get the loan on your own. They don't offer any scholarships.

The will give you the rating on the scale of 5.extracurricular - 4/5labs 4/5sports 4.5/5competitions - 3.5/5You have a good sport grounds for sports

The Hostel i rate as 3/5 The mess will rate 2/5. You dont get the variety off food. The amenities are not soo good. You don't have a proper internet facility.

The alumni meet will happen on every 2 years. They are maintaining the alumni positively. When i studied there they have conducted the alumni meet, where i found the people who studied 30years back were attended.

The exams they conduct is semester wise. Per sem you will have 6 exams.The labs are also conducted per schedule. The schedule is chilled out.

The Faculty is good and all were the phd scholars from the reputed colleges. The standards are ok, but still they need to improvize those.While you taking the project you need to be careful and you need to work hard in completing that.
