(IBSAT)I scored 80.I Chose Marketing from IBS Bangalore, because the curriculum offered by IBS and the teaching method of IBS is one of the best in India after IIMs.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was best in the industry, and to the point. It is made, keeping students in mind with a vision of Student's Career and Future. It was a mix of Case Study and classroom study. It also included an internship programme of 14 weeks which no other college had.
Internships Opportunities
I had arranged for my own Internship. The Internship experience was good, as it was extended over 14 weeks. There was constant touch between the faculty and the students.
Placement Experience
Placement is not as per the expected standards. Many good companies had visited our campus, but had weird criteria for selections. The name includes, TCS, ICICI, ICICI Lombard, Radio Mirchi, Schindler, Spencer's Retail etc.
College Events
The college was always active in intra-college Management fests, Inter-College Management fest, Blood Donation Camps, festival celebrations, Fun activity etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees was expensive. In 2009, at the time of entry it was 850000 plus hostel expense, and books charges totaled to 150000. It wasn't feasible. I had to take a loan.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our College had arranged for Loans from various banks at the time of entrance, Additionally i had bagged scholarship twice .
Campus Life
The college was always active in intra-college Management fests, Inter-College Management fest, Blood Donation Camps, festival celebrations, Fun activity etc. These days were the best days of my Life.
Exam Structure
It was chilled out.Once a quarter we had exams which was known as Semester. 1st 4 semesters one had to study all subjects so that one can determine their interest in the subject Later in the second year, one could go for specialization.
Faculty
The faculty was one of the best. Mrs. Karpagam BA our Marketing Professor had in-depth knowledge about the subject matter. Mr. Sukesh, or Professor for International Marketing, was an industry expert.
