Life At IBS

The only bad remark is that it is located 15kms away from the city and travelling, shopping, watching movies becomes a little difficult. But apart from this the college is a wonderful place to study & also enjoy student life.

I took the entrance exam by college called IBSAT.My score was about 80% aggregate which made me eligible for going forward and getting a seat here in this college. IBS has a very reputed brand name throughout the country and that was the reason I chose this college.

The curriculum is excellent. All the syllabus which we have is completely updated as per the trends in the industry/market. The methodology which is used in the college is case study methodology wherein we actually study a real time cThe fase and have a discussion over it.

Internship is a very important exercise which is being followed in our college. It goes on for a period of 14 weeks (3 and a half months).Companies from Marketing, Finance & HR came in to offer intern-ships to students. The average stipend was about 5000/.

The placements team are doing really well by bringing in the best companies to our college. The main job roles which companies are giving is either marketing or finance. Companies- ICICI, Oracle, Deloitte, KPMG, Kotak Bank, Grant Thornton etc with an average CTC of 5 LPA.

We fee structure for a B-school is usually expensive but here at IBS it is comparatively lesser than other well known B-schools. The fee for 2 years full time course is 7,00,000/-.

Our college has tied up with few banks to provide the students with education loan. There is hassle free disbursement of funds during the time of payment of fees.

There are many extracurricular activities like clubs, sports, group discussions etc. M:F ratio is 60:40. People from different parts of the country come to our college and we know and respects the culture, religion. If any student is found discriminating, ragging etc that student is terminated with immediate effect without any tolerance.

The IBS campus is just 3 years old and hence we do not have a hostel. However the hostel facilities are outsourced and it is just 5 minutes walk from the campus. The rooms are usually 2 sharing rooms. The food provided is average and the hostel fees is 60,000/- for one year.

Every year there is a alumni meet which takes place in college and it has been going on from the past 20 years.highly experienced people come forward and share they journey and also give some tips to the new passed out students about the corporate world.

We have a schedule which helps us a lot and not burdening us for the final exams. We have tests for 5 marks every now and then so that the syllabus is not too much during the finals. We also have a Mid semester exam which covers half the portions.

The faculties in our college and are very dedicated to work. They are always there to help us and guide us throughout the span of 2 years and even after that if needed. Everyone are masterfs of their respective subjects and always make sure the students are understanding what is being taught.
