Remarks
I cannot justify this college to be either bad or good it's perfect in its own way at first you may hate it for it not being matched to your expectations of movies and series but later on you will accept it for what it is and start loving it here.
Course Curriculum Overview
Under my course i.e. B.Sc CBZ I have to study Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. This course is actually quite good because when a person opts for an applied science course they mostly don't prefer zoology and botany since they don't have much scope in industrial jobs so they go for Chemistry Hons. But this course on the other hand is giving you all the knowledge of Chemistry Hons. With a degree stating that you possess equivalent knowledge of both zoo and botany could be very useful in future if you want to change your field in Masters. Course is quite easy especially botany part of which you mostly don't care is too easy I mean it's just 11-12 class syllabus reprinted. While chemistry and zoology are medium ranged. Exam patterns are quite convenient too they don't put any pressure on the students and give them a lot of free time to explore other fields. There are 2 Weekly Test(WT) and 2 Graded Assignment (GA) before each Mid-term (MT) and there are 2 Mid-terms before each semester so in 1 year you have 4 WT(10marks each), 4GA(10 marks each), 2 MT(10 marks each) and 2 Semester exams (60 marks each). Here WT and GA are taken online through computers and mobile phones through their LMS. Practicals are quite amazing you will get almost all the needed equipments one would need for a Masters in these subjects. The labs may not be clean and sophisticated enough but the machinery is you will find some great equipments. They even have a huge farm consisting of various sorts of plants and animals and a huge green house and a rooftop hydroponics lab and fisheries etc. So yes it is quite much research driven and if you have the passion for it, it will provide the platform you need. A lot of seminars are conducted for all the students there will be at least 1-2 seminars every week. And every year companies do come for placements, mostly local ones sometimes companies like Google, Amazon, IBM etc and they have a good tie up with Google but it doesn't matter to my course.
Placement Experience
I am not much sure about the placements through my course and I don't even keep much hope from it as well, I definitely need a Master's degree for a good job placement. Frankly speaking no college provides good job placements and this university is equivalent to any other private University in terms of placement.
College Events
There are a lot of fests like X-Animo, Bellicose, Swayam and many more there are 2 inter college competitive events every year related to sports and cultural activities and almost every month 1-2 local events. All of them consisting of sports and all sorts of cultural and technical competitions related to cooking writing, designing everything. I mean there are a lot of fests and events which will keep you busy and engaged enough. Though there quality might not impress you much but they are fun.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My course is feasible in this university compared to all the other Universities in Jaipur who charge almost double of what I pay here for the same course. My programme fee is around 40,000 rs per year (20 per semester) and then there is additional fee like exam fee, registration fee (only be paid during admission), and security and all which makes up around a 10,000 more. 3,000 rs is charged as exam fee before every semester. They charge quite a hefty sum for late fee submissions like around 2-4 thousands even if it's just one day late. Worst part is that they inform you very late like only 2-3 days before or a week before about fee payments and their final dates so during your first year be careful about your fee payment timings otherwise they will charge you with good fines.
Fees and Financial Aid
No there are no scholarships or anything if by showing your results and if they are good enough they might reduce a few thousands out of your fee.
Campus Life
My guess on gender ratio for the entire university would be 3:1 boys per girl. There are strict rules for discrimination against race and gender. There are a lot of student organised parties and events like DJ nights. Official workshops are conducted on weekends during lectures. There is no election system for electing any president or anything. Students as a matter of fact don't have any official representative. It's all management based.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I live in college Hostels. You can opt for either a single room ( 80,000 rs) or a double room ( 70,000 rs ). Worst quality rooms you could ever find. Single rooms sometimes feel like living in the storerooms. Poor walls and poor furniture and poor lighting. Food. THE WORST YOU CAN EVER GET. And the biggest issue of all is WATER SCARCITY. Both drinking and non drinking. You will get water in your rooms only for 15 mins at morning and then for 15 mins at evening. Drinking water is available 24×7 but the RO stops working a lot of times so you have to walk to other Hostel buildings to fill up a bottle of water
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni frankly are not at all useful. They hardly visit and even if they do they munch on the food, burp and then play and dance with their children and then hardly any one of them give an emotional speech and then they all leave. College seniors on the other hand are polar opposites. They treat us like their own younger siblings and take good care and the college also has very strict rules against ragging, so strict that there are cases of juniors taking ragging of seniors.
Admission
Just come and show your certificates, pay the fee and fill up some forms done and sometimes they might go through 1 or 2 interviews that's all. My admission was through a person who was already working there and that person got a commission for that too. If your grades are good they might not even bother going through the interview process and if they do they would ask you some basic 10-12 class level questions which you can easily answer and they will also test your vocabulary skills but any of that doesn't really matter these are just formalities to create an impression of a sophisticated institute, even if you play dumb and pay the fee you will get your admission in any course you want. This University is by the way the only NAAC 'A' Grade University of whole Rajasthan which they will emphasize a lot of times during the admission and the whole duration of your college life. One of the interesting thing is that it's an International university so it has students from Nigeria, Afghanistan, Kashmir and many other places.
Faculty
I have hardly 4-5 lectures a day each of 50 minutes after that there are labs. So it's 9 am to 4pm, in which 12:30-1:30 is the lunch break after that we have our lab practicals. The first year faculty if going through qualifications and knowledge and teaching methods is not really good and I took a one year drop in Kota so to me their teaching methods comparatively were not good enough. But morally speaking I highly doubt if anyone would ever find such supportive staff anywhere else whether it be academic or non-academic. But later on faculties are quite good. They will always provide you with latest information related to all the competitions and internships you can apply for.
