Remarks :
The college management is very good. I found it very effective and efficient.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum and exam structure are well research-driven and fair. Being an autonomous college , the institute prepares its own syllabus which will include a vast area of knowledge about the topics that the M.G University to which the college is affiliated to, insist to teach. The exam question papers are prepared within the institute according to the guidelines of the university. There will be four internal exams and two semester exams per year in all 3 year degree courses. The college also has very good internship and placement cell.
Placement Experience :
The placement cell of the college are known to be a very good one. The college has tie-ups with many reputed companies which is a very good factor for the students' career and future.
College Events :
The main fest of our college known as ' the Teresian week' is so popular which will last for a week. There will be many celebrities including film stars appearing as the chief guests of the event. Marvelous dance, music, drama performances will be presented on the stage.A superb DJ event will be conducted in the end of the programme. There will be also many competitions held as the part of Teresian week such as modelling, dance and music competition, graffiti etc. Students will be all looking stunning, wearing clothes of a particular theme , every day of the fest week. There are also other events such as exhibitions , sports day, Onam and Christmas celebration conducted in our college. Sometimes Festivals like Diwali are also celebrated in the college. Many science seminars are also conducted in the college
Fee Structure And Facilities :
I am studying B.com Taxation ( self-financing) and fees are accepted as cash , cheques and online money transfer. The college's fee structure is feasible. Many students are provided fee concessions on various bases. The self financing courses are usually expensive but still it's worth.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I haven't opted for any scholarship. There are many scholarships given to students on the basis of caste , family income , merit etc. There is an effective scholarship cell in the college which take care of all the procedures after once we have submitted all the necessary documents which are clearly listed in front of the college office.
Campus Life :
Campus life in St. Teresa's College is really amazing that students struggle to join the college like me. It is women's college. But still few seats are reserved for boys as well as transgenders in some of the post graduation courses as well as graduation courses.
Hostel Facilities :
No. I am a day scholar. Hostel facilities are not so well appreciated. The college is trying to improve the accomodation and food facilities of the hostel. Students are finding hostels other than that of the college, better.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors are really helpful in knowing the college better and conducting many events in the college. The alumni of the college sponsor various events, conduct fairs and exhibitions etc. There are many celebrities who did their graduation and post graduation in our college.
Admission :
I opted for B.com Taxation due to my interest in accounting and also I felt that there will be always a demand for the job of an accountant as most of the firms requires one. I chose St. Teresa's College for pursuing my degree because it is a well known reputed autonomous women's college with an A++ reaccredition by NAAC. Being a women's college I felt that it provides a good platform for women to develop their self confidence and to grow strong and independent. My college provides admission on the basis of merit list. Seats are available under general, sports, arts, community and management quotas.
Faculty :
All the lecturers in the college are well qualified. The faculty are also provided free workshops in the college to develop their skills and knowledge in their subjects. They are also provided opportunities to attend good seminars and classes to develop their relations with students and to understand them more.
