Remarks

I hope college has taken new initiatives in teaching thru more practical methods

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The classes were taken by experienced professionals. College allows the students to explore their ideas in way of making projects. Even we participated in SAE BAJA in 2013 with technical supports from our staffs. The staffs will brief the concept with live examples which made everyone to understand it easily. For the slow learners, they offered extra session at evening time to make them understand and clear the subject.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement opening for Industry is good compared to other colleges in this range. They provide internships to the core companies thru referrals from the staffs. Other than Mechanical, they provide on campus interview for every other department and placement percentage is more than 60% and they also provide off campus drive program to make other students to get placed thru Sastha. Institution provided us placement training during the semester holidays in 5th semester itself. They make us to be ready for aptitude tests, How to prepare and answer in Group discussion and also the posture, actions you need not do during the face to face interviews.

College Events

4

We do celebrate all cultural, technical symposium, Festival celebrations. Everyone is like to participate in that celebrations volunteering themselves. Management will not allow anyone to collect money from the students for the technical events or any culturals. They provide money thru sponsorship.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My program fees was 40k as per the govt norms including tuition fees. They accept cheques, DD and online transactions. They provide a detailed fees structure in order to pay the fees. No add on charges other than that. Exam fees is additional like other colleges during the semester exams

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes college offers for Govt scholarship for the backward, most backward, scheduled Tribes. Even if a student is bright in his performance, they offer special scholarship from college to cheer them.

Campus Life

4.5

We used to play games post college hours. We have sports committee from college and house for the games. They encourage participation in sports for a healthy lifestyle. No Racism or gender partiality is allowed here. Everyone treated here uniformly without any partition.

Hostel Facilities

4

I am a day scholar and I never used hostel here. But I heard that it's a share of 3 person. Hostel fees I remembered was 20k including three times food. Hostel food quality was not bad as we think. It's worth for the money.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. Alunini meet is to meet the members and spend time with them organised thru college staffs. We are planning to do kinda off help to the poor families thru this alumni association.

Admission

My dream is to become a Mechanical Engineer. I heard about this college thru some of my dad friends because they did their Diploma in Kothari polytechnic later changed to Sastha. As a procedure we need to get application form from Anna university for BE and need to fill and submit along with mark list copy. Anna university will alot a ranking based on cut off marks from MPC (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) of 12th and fix a date for the counseling. During the counseling, we need to select the college. So as I already fixed a college in mind and I got the same college throgh counseling

Faculty

4.5

The total faculty in our department is 16 no's. Everyone holds Masters with relevant industrial experience in their subjects. 2 faculties are doing PhD and their way of teaching is completely unique with lots of new concepts. The faculties guides us making paper presentations in other college symposium thru Innovative designs and ideas. Faculties worked in Industries for 5-6 years and did their masters and joined as a faculty. These experienced professionals is a live example in teaching the concepts practically also.

Placement Experience:

The college provides four tracks for students: the placement track, higher studies track, entrepreneur track and the government exam track. Students can opt for any one track during their third year of study. The campus placements starts from the mid of third year. Mnc's like Accenture, cognizant visited our company the ratio is also good. Lot of startup's and core companies have also hired students.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from 5 th semester ,however they are not allowed to join companies before completing the current course. Many companies have visited like(CTS, Accenture, Soti, cart rabbit , course 5i and many more) in my batch out of 800+ students around 200 - 250 got placed . The highest pacakge is 13.5 LPA and the average package is around 4.5 LPA - 6LPA. College say its 100 percent placement but nowadays its not true because about 20-25 percent students are bot placed because of skill issues. My plan is to get placed in a good company and save some decent amount and start trading.

The placement and the package in this current year is less when compared to previous years. This is due to the more admissions in computer science field and more employees are there.the highest package is 12L/yr . 18% of students will get placed. My plan is to start private construction agency.
