Remarks

Factors that drove me for admission in Somlalit Institute were its great past record in placements of students in reputed companies, well-experienced faculties, the reputation of college and excellent reviews of college by alumni.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The college follows the GTU's MBA syllabus. Every year students of MBA are given opportunities of an industrial visit, we were given the opportunity to visit GIFTS city Gandhinagar. Many of the subjects are taught by industrial experts with their practical views & experience which helps students to better relate to current market situations. Faculties of the college are well experienced and qualified with best knowledge of there particular subjects. Especially I liked to attend Neha mam's lectures and the practical examples which relates to current situations are great.

Internships Opportunities

I have done my internship at TIMES OF INDIA - Ahmedabad, here we were given the task of acquiring subscriptions for Times group magazines. We were paid a stipend based on subscriptions brought by us. The amount we get for subscriptions was different for different magazines, from 20rs to 100rs per subscription. The process to get the opportunity to be an intern at TOI was based on our merits.

College Events

5

Life at Somlalit is great & thriving. Every student can live the college life that they have ever dreamed about at Somlalit. Every year there are many events organized by college, like freshers party, Farewell party, cultural festival & management events where leading personalities of different sectors make their presence and share their views. For me, our fresher's party and the cultural festival were the best events I have ever attended in my life.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not applied or availed of any loan or scholarship. But many of the students from being a reservation category got scholarships from the government. Additional to the tuition fees these students were given an extra amounts for books and stationery expenses. Other than government scholarship, one can avail educational loan from banks and there would not be any issue as Somlalit is very reputed institute which makes it easy to get loan. And belive me the ROI in yourself will be very high.

Campus Life

3.5

The college campus is situated in the heart of Ahmedabad city, in the Navrangpura area. The size of the library is quite good, we can get any book related to our subjects and current affairs in this library. Wi-Fi facility for students was there in my college while my programme duration. You can use the college computer lab for any academic work but most of the students preferred to work on their personal laptops.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

The college does not have any hostel or accommodation facility of its own. Students have to find accommodation facilities by themselves, but you can get help from the college administration about nearby PGs and accommodation facilities. There are many PGs and rental accommodations available in the college area, but they might be quite expensive, so most of the students choose to live in nearby areas that are less expensive and affordable.

The placements in my college are quite strong. Many reputed companies visit every year, offering roles across finance, marketing, HR, analytics, and operations. The placement cell actively organizes training sessions, mock interviews, aptitude practice, and industry interactions, which helps students build confidence and develop employability skills

students become eligible for placements after first semester in MBA as students have to compulsorily do summer internship. highest package last year was around 12lpa and average package being 7lpa. if prepared well for the interview rounds with the company, you can get a good placement but you have to take first mover advantage.

As I have already said placements are good also it's something which depends on one's ability, capabilities and knowledge. Though the average package lies between 6-7 LPA and goes upto 20LPA. As I'm going to start my internship and till now within 10 days more than 150 companies has came to NBS for providing internships.

The course is like they say we are not teachers here we are, mentors, to guide you and jot to teach you as you have grown up now so should learn things by your own self so the course is as such and the faculty is like everywhere you will have the same situation it's OK.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is hectic and keeps you busy. But the faculty is amazing. Geniuses of the country surround you. 5 sections 90 students each. FABM students study with PGP students for the 1st year. Electives are chosen in the second year. All schedules are pre-decided. The whole curriculum is tough but there is relative grading and thus you can pass if you give your best.
