Entrance Preview

As my college is under control of Anna University in Tamilnadu, 12th standard mark is enough to get into the colleges. As I had much interest in electronics, I chose the department.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is much better. But for electronics engineer, Real time operating systems is must which is not present in the curriculum. I'm experiencing the scope now only since my work related RTOS.

Internships Opportunities

One of the worst thing was no arrangements regarding to the companies exposure. College haven't took any steps. - Our department HOD advised to go to implant training in some companies

I wil give zero mark to this department. No such arrangements taken that time. I'm hearing now a days they are arranging but all are not technical jobs

College Events

EEE department organised symposium. I got some prizes. Intra college cricket tournament among departments. Sports events will be conducted every year. I didn't participate on it.

One of the best thing in our college is the fee structure. My college won't collect unnecessary charges. But for management quota it will be huge.

Yes. Tamilnadu government provided yearly scholarship which was really helped me a lot. College provided support to avail those.

Hostel Facilities

I'm a day scholar. From my friends I heard hostel and mess food are not upto the mark. Hostel management needs massive changes

worst thing. No alumni association in our college After college, only Facebook contacts remains with seniors. College needs to arrange on this.

Exam Structure

Anna University exams will be bit tough. But repeated questions bought happiness on us. During all lab exams, by the gods grace I have got easy experiments all the times.

Some of the lecturers are good and experienced. But most of them are freshers. College need to get some experienced faculties. Those who are experienced was really good both in message conveying and teaching

Journey towards learning with joy

Placement Experience:

*After the Completion of 5th semester students are eligible for placements. *Most of top compaines are visited and some startup compaines are came for placements and students are got multiple offers based on their skill set. *Highest package of 10.0 LPA and average package of 4.00 LPA and students got multiple offers. *Most of the Students got placed and one few cases some students will purse higher studies and some students having backlogs. *My plan to getting placed in company to build my start carrer.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year that is, 5th semester students become eligible for placements. Amazon, intel, jP morgan, etc companies have been in srm for placement offers. Our highest package was 1.2 cr. SRM provides 100% incampus placements! After getting the degree, i would probably do masters with a job and some music as a side profession.

Placement Experience:

Around 25 companies visit our college, and around 96% of the students got placed in those companies. They're very helpful and supportive. Our placement teams conduct special training sessions many group discussion sessions, and aptitude tests. They teach how to answer many technical and non-technical questions. They really help us improve our knowledge. Top recruiting companies like Texas, Infosy, etc., visit our campus. The salary package offered is 12.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA and the average salary package offered is 6.5 LPA.

Placement Experience:

From the final year and seventh-semester students are eligible for placements, I too got two offers from placements in Sutherland and Windcare. Companies giving packages for the freshers based on their company policies. More number of student got placed in my academic year. I have decided to go with the core job I.e wind care.

Placement Experience:

The placements at the college are Good. Also, it all depends on your talent. After the 7th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. TCS and Appton are some of the companies that visited and gave 2 offers. The average package is Rs.22000. The percentage of students getting placements is 18%. After getting the degree I must go for an interview for selection with some It companies offered. But it is best to get the placements in college itself.

Pros and Cons of UCEN

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students can join placement training and participate in placement drives. Placement training is conducted well. Many companies come for placement drive. 99% of them are IT companies. Even other stream students get a chance only to join IT companies through placement. The core engineering companies which come to the drive requires 4 years bond which most students dislike. The placement is almost 35%. I'm trying to get into a PSU after completing the degree.

Remarks:

Positives:AMET having a good name in shipping industry beacuse its the india's first marine college.So every company can known our college.And lot of faculties from core side(chief engg) working in AMET.No other marine institution having this much of faculties. Negatives:Not a good infrastructure and the hostel room a too small for 4 person and They will not give lot of holidays like other colleges and they will not having fun filled programms like other colleges.
