Remarks

I chose IIHM as my College because my plan was to do Hotel Management and IIHM is best for hotel management students and it has a very good ranking as compared to other Colleges and a very good record in terms of Placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

Lecturers are very knowledgeable, experienced and well-mannered. They are very friendly if they are a good listener. They all have years of experience, knowledge and perfection that will guide you to achieve your goals. They are very helpful when the students need and are proactive to understand them.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 6000000 per year

Placement Experience

Oberoi (Bangalore), ITC Sonar Bangla, Marriott (Miami), and Westin (Mumbai) are the placements that I was offered. IIHM has tie-ups with numerous local as well as foreign companies that would help you gain knowledge, exposure, experience and it will also groom you to a better level.

College Events

IIHM is famous for its events, there are many events in that College, from Cultural fest to sports fest and even food fest that is the main event for IIHM and its compulsory for the students to take part in that event, even some stalls are set up there.

My college is one of the famous institutes in a city known for its placement. Students are eligible for placements once they complete their internship. Top recruiting companies are Hyatt, Oberoi, itc, and Marriott giving avg package of 2.5lpa-3lpa.98% of students get placed.

About my college and my experience

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester students became eligible for campus placements. Lalit Great estern Kolkata, Lila Goa, the park Kolkata, ITC Royal Bengal, Hayat Regency Kolkata, The Obroy Grand Kolkata etc company visited our campus placements.40 to 50% students got placed. Placements were very bad for freshers. After getting the degree is to get a job in a reputed company and I want to become a more responsible and knowledgeable person.

Reality of college and the industry

Placement Experience:

IHM Kolkata provides 100% placement. Big brands and hotel chains come for campusing in the college. Hotel Chains like Oberoi, Taj, ITC, JW Marriott, etc. Brands like Calvin Klein, etc. come and offer jobs. The highest package offered is 360000 per annum. The average package is 200000. All students get placements. I have plans of either getting a good Management Trainee program in a big brand and going abroad.

Value for Money IHM College

Remarks:

The college is really good , it gives equal opportunity to everyone. It has the best of infrastructure, talent . The campusing is really good. It provides value for money.
