Remarks :
St Teresa's was always known for the exposure it provides to students.Indeed apart from the extremely supportive faculty,there were many areas where students was able to develop themselves in their own manner.Extracurriculars is one of the merit I experienced at St Teresa's.Even having a congested campus,students become more close to campus and enjoys the corners providing coffee,tea and stc pazhampori.Bcom department has the best faculty who always motivates students to participate in every opportunities provided.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course syllabus based on my university. We were provided industrial visits in our 2nd year.The faculty of BCom is the best as they always encourage students to develop themselves by providing various opportunities and pointing to areas where they can grow.
Placement Experience :
Companies like Wipro, EY, etc are offering placements for positions like a financial manager, assurance HR, etc. But the recruitment ends for about 3-4 students per company. The college always supported alumini activities which are very much active. The various fest is conducted by alumini associations. Apart from placements departments also offer to add on courses as well as professional courses like CMA, ACCA etc along with their degree courses. Students are able to make career choices by the career guidance classes offered. The placement overall is very few.
College Events :
The campus life of STC is always known for the events conducted. Events constitute various programs conducted by management as well as students. Management is always keen on conducting various awareness programs and social wellness programs.STEP is one of the initiatives taken depromoting use of plastic and promoting an Eco-friendly campus. All the events are cherished by the presence of various celebrities and politically relevant people. Teresina week is one of the major celebrations of stc where the students compete among themselves as different years. These events are coordinated by the student's elected union members. Various events like under25 stc are also conducted by students themselves. Many fundraising programs are also conducted announcing social causes.MG university kalolsavam was always an area of strength and unity which stc always participates with a whole heart and whole strength.
Campus Life :
The campus of St Teresa's is congested but it hasn't failed to provide facilities too. There is free WiFi, a gym, a well-spread library, and labs. There are 3 campuses that are within a 1km radius. Hostel facility is also within the campuses. There are 2 cafeterias and 1 coffee counter in the main block. Students are always engaged in some activities. All the programs are always upto marks. Students play an important part in managing all the programs starting from arranging light and sound to stage presence.Ajichettan is an important asset of STC who is supporting the students to make all the programs a great success. We have a library having 2 floors with computer support. There is a chapel, seminar hall and ATM provided within the campus. The only demerit is that there are very few toilets provided.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is within the campus.6 room sharing rooms are provided with common bathrooms on all 3 floors. There is 2 double sharing bedrooms. Hostel facility is provided by first come first serve. Being a hosteler is also an advantage of being 2 minutes away from class. Food provided is average, vegetarian for lunch except on Sunday and nonvegetarian for dinner. The cleanliness of the hostel is always maintained. The verandahs and bathrooms are cleaned everyday. For those who have sharing problems with toilets, the majority of toilets are Indian closets. Apart from infrastructure, the programs conducted for hosteler by themselves is the best and yet the best experiences of STC college life.
