R.M.D Engineering college review

Our college has lot of rules and regulations kindly go through that before join because it's not easy to follow and may advise would be search for better college.

Our college is afflicted to Anna University, they follow the curriculum of Anna University which is accredited by ugc. I don't thing the curriculum is research driven, the only positive that I feel with the curriculum is you get a good theory knowledge and you should take extra training from other sources to become a better professional, the industrial specific knowledge are very low and placement in the core competencies are very minimal, most of the students get placed in IT sector, we will be having two industrial visit per semester, it would be a one day and we would visiting industry's in the locality and we don't have any long industrial visit, placement training will be given to improve you English and aptitude so that you can get placed in IT sector.

Companies are Zoho, soliton, Tcs, cts, Infosys, Sutherland, HCL, first step is cgpa it is necessary to have 6. 5 to 7 cgpa to attend the placement differ according to the companies, the second round is aptitude, 3rd round is technical interview and last HR interview, 70 percentage student get placement every year. college gives training in English and aptitude.

Our college is bit away from the celebration and for the sake of doing they conduct some events. the only Moto of our college to preform well in academic and don't concentrate on other thing, we will be having symposium every year very few will attend the event because of the rules and regulations, we will be having a college day in which both sports prize and culture prize will be give, compare to other colleges it would like a culture day, most of the students wouldn't attend this event and they take leave on that day only the prize winners will be attending the function.

The fee structure would be around 55 thousand per year (turion fees) for government quota student and for direct admission the fee structure would be different. The fees should be paid through Demand draft. The extra fees will collect for mess (17500), bus (dependent on your location), hostel (50to 60k), online material (22k) and development fees (5k). There no additional charge to secure your seat, the college is transparent in fee-breakdown if you join through counselling.

The government offers tution fees waiver for first graduate and also some scholarship for the students who's parent annual income is less than 2 lakhs.

Gender ratio 2:1, to be honest you wouldn't be having a very good campus life since the college have lot of rules and regulations. their is no cultural societies in our college, workshop wouldn't take place frequently, the are not diverse most of them are from Tamil Nadu or Andhra. Most if the students come from middle class background.

Actually we don't have much contact with the senior students because there wouldn't any freetime to talk with them.

I got admission through Anna University counselling, it was based on my 12th std cutoff in physics, chemistry and math. I got into the college in 2018 August month. I opt for the course because I had bit of interest in engineering the reason for choosing this college is I didn't get any other colleges which I was trying to get into, I didn't have any options other than joining this college hence I joined this college. there are two ways to get admission either you can join through Anna University counselling or direct admission. The fees structure differ in both.

We have around 250 to 300 faculty in our course the average age might be 32 to 35. Most of them have done Master of engineering and some have done PhD. In our college we have assistant professor, associate professor, professor, hod, dean, and principal. The faculty teach according to the syllabus and examination point of view, some of faculty have 2 to 3 year of industrial experience and other don't.
