Remarks :
College management was never co-oprative with the fest organisers. the management always used to be the most difficult barrier while organising a particular event as the management is totally money driven and only conducted the fests for a good NAAC report.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The class room teaching was good all teachers used various digital techniques to make the student learn. There was a campus placement cell but it dint had much opportunity. Bcom dint had any extra activities. Iv was not there for bcom students. we had 100 marks full return exam which had 6 papers consisting of 3 hrs each. Bcom dint had any inernal matks but still the faculty used to conduct internal exams for us. but the marks of these exams were never counted in the report.
Placement Experience :
It din't had any internships, as bcom was the department which was least paid attention to. and placements were not related to the field much, as only mass recruiters used to come to provide jobs.
College Events :
There are three major events of our college. fantasies is the cultural event of our college where all the recreational events wer conducted, straight from sports to arts. fantasies has an good footfall as it was the main event of the college. DISHA was one of the most unique fest of the college being an edutainment fest. were education and entertainment both had an equal role. there were seminars, talents hunt, motivational speakers were called and many other activities were conducted.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fees were around 5000 to 7000 per year. there were additional charges like the laibrary fees and mscit course fee. No additional fees were required to secure an admission in the college. there was not much transparency in the fee break down. different courses had different fees structure.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There were many scholarship opportunities for backward class students and also the students coming from the family who were in below poverty level. generally fees were exempted for these students. there was even a tamil quota were tamillians were givine a uper hand during admission.
Campus Life :
Gender ratio dint had any issue as there were equal amount of males and females. there were events of different departments throughout the year so there were various workshops organised under them. We dint had exactly a campus as the premises of our college was small. being a tamil dominance in college still there were students of all the races and religions, there were even students coming from different countries, for eg : qatar, kuwait, spain. we had 4 computer labs, which were used for many courses but mainly u would see competency on those seats during various E sports tournaments. there were various groups who used to organise events according to their mode of interest, there was cultural committee who organised events according to the auspicious ocassions. You could see all the tech savy events in the fest of bscit department as they were more concerned towards the futuristic aspect of the society. Sies had various teams in basket ball, cricket, kabbadi, football, handball, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
No, I had never opted for any hostel in past three years, and there was no hostel in our college campus. PGs were quite expensive in that area as the college is in the prime location. the paying guests had to pay around 10 to 15 thousand per month.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yeah alumnis of the college used to come and attend events to encourage the organsing commitee. the aluminis were the people who were associated with the events previously or the people who have playead an important role in the society.
Admission :
According to percentage. this was the best clg I was elegible for and I chosed bcom so that I can concentrate on more things rather only on studies. sies was known for their over qualified teachers as all of them were phd holders, either CA. We had to fill an online form as well as submit an offline form. admission process took 5 days to complete.
Faculty :
Majority teacher’s were 40+, there wer around 5 lectures each day, each lecture was of 50 minutes. all teachers wer postgraduates and majority were PHD achived. Teachers for subjects were according to the field. the person teaching us accounts was actually a CA. the person teaching us LAW was actually a lawer same with rest.
