Cipet review

Very bad college, it advertises itself as a great one but it is not.

The curriculum is good in fact but the teaching and faculty were very poor standards. There are plenty of equipment for practical studying. The. College is quite small. Industrial visit are less. The curriculum gives time for plenty of pratical and classroom sessions but it is poorly used.

Placement are from near by local companies. Sometimes maybe neighbouring states. Interview is done to select students. The job position are as factory or industrial foot workers. The college claims 100% placement but those who did not get placement, the institute writes off as higher studies and ignore them.

There is sports day held in another college once a year. There is a festival once a year for cipet students known as cipofest. There may be some small inter College festival. There may be government based celebration. But mostly there aren't much celebration in this college.

Between 16000 to 23000 depends upon each semester. There is a payment of 10000 for joining i guess. There rest is the semester fees it must be payed by the first week of each semester without fine and 25 ? fine for next week and ?1000 for delay. Fees payment mode is by bank transfer.

There is scholarship for sc/st students. They have to fill the form and pay the fees first later the amount is transferred to your account.

Campus Life is good. It mostly depends on your friends and classmates. The staff and faculty are lazy. The gender ratio is, i would say there are 92% of boys and 8% girls. Most of the students in this campus are Tamil but there are north indians but no foreigners.

Hostel is bad.one room for 2 or 3 students i don't know. I'm a day scholar. The food is very bad. Accommodation is quite bad and stuff. Hostel fees is about ?25000 a semester. A new hostel is being built.

The alumni is not very helpful. It you can find them on the internet quite often. Most of them are at work.

I got admission throught the head of the department of my course.i have preffered to take electronics in under graduate, the process of admission is good enough and. We can prossed with that process.

Faculty in this college is very bad. Since it's a central government institute i expected much more experienced staff. The faculty doesn't even come for regular class and most of them don't even know to speak English. Students are treated like servants.
