Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum is designed by the central government of India. Regular students have 8 semester exams while the lateral entries have 6, in between the semesters we have internals whose marks are also considered for evaluating the semester results.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements happen every year and a decent amount of students get placed, the T&P department train us well for facing the placements like aptitude and personality development sessions. Some of the companies hiring from here are Chennai silks, Mahaveer with a salary package of minimum 2 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes the fee structure is very feasible and less when compared to private institutes, the reason behind this is that IIHT is an central government undertaken institute. Students are free to avail student loans also.

Campus Life

4.5

The institute conducts symposiums and other workshops for us to learn about the process and what this degree is all about. We have sports ground for all kind of games. We even have a gym for the students to work out.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Boys and the girls have different hostels. The mess is great with nutritious and clean food. We have all the necessary facilities like Wi-Fi, water, electricity. All that we need is at the hands reach within the campus itself.

Admission

Boards and JEE score are required for admissions at IIHT, I secured an non Zero positive score in my JEE mains and a 60 percent in my boards, the minimum is only 45 percent, which majority of them can get.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties here, except for some, are temporary and hired based on contracts. But the subject matter is not compromised they teach us with full interest and can be approached in case on any academic issues.

Placement Experience:

The placement here is pretty good , we can get internships from 3 rd year onwards but the placement is after 4th year . The highest package offered here is 1.08 cpa The average package offered here is 6 lpa And if you want to get a good enough package here you will habe to study. Hard and be productive in coding it will be best if you maintain a higher cgpa than 8 . Many companies come here like amazon, google, tcs and many more.

Placement Experience:

I am currently in 3rd year. From what I have heard and seen. There are core companies like Boeing, indigo etc.. who are regularly coming for campus placement. This year I heard that about 11-12 people for selected in Boeing for a package of 9-10 LPA. I can say one thing for sure that placements are only based on your individual performance and your skill set. Just learning the course isn't going to land you a job. All the people who are competing for this job has done the same thing like you did (ie complete this course). Try to know your basics very well instead of faking your CGPA. Attend lectures, competition and internship to keep that resume look unique

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Artificial Intelligence and data science as I was veey much interested to learn about AI and I believe that this course has a lot of scope outside. In my college they do provide a good curriculum for this course that teaches things from the basic to advanced level. The difficulty level of exams is a bit high sometimes but if we maintain a good score overall it will be easy to pass.
