Remarks

IIHT is an institute led by enlightened professionals, they teach us about the textile and handlooms which the nation is now forgetting about. They give each of the students the attention we need, they are not partial at all.

Course Curriculum Overview

IIHT is a college under the care of the central government itself, the syllabus is also constructed by them. Exams are per semester (totally eight), we have internals in between, the scores will be considered for semester.

Placement Experience

We are trained well for the placements by the staff during the final semester. Some of the companies regularly recruiting from IIHT are Shahi exports, Himatsingks sage, Pee Aaa impex. The average salary is 2.10 lakhs for degree holders and for diploma it is 1.80 Lakhs.

College Events

There are several events we celebrate at IIHT some of which are Independence day, Republic day, annual day for all the students in common. Hostel day and batch day for exclusively for the hostel and final year students respectively.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible as this college comes under central administration, It is a yearly payment. One can avail an educational loan if not being able to pay the fees. The college accepts any form of payment.

Campus Life

We have workshops to learn more about the technology as our syllabus has pracical education rather than theory. We have a multicultural campus at IIHT no one is discriminated, we celebrate all cultures.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, I live in the college hostel, which is situated inside the campus making it easy for the commute. We have all the facilities like Wi-Fi, electricity and water supply. Boys and girls have separate hostels.

Admission

I got into IIHT with my boards and JEE main scores. The minimum score for boards is 45%. The candidate should be from MPC stream in school. During the admissions you are supposed to provide your score cards on failing to do which you cannot enter.

Faculty

For now there are no or very less permanent staffs at the college, many of them teach here on contract basis but they are no less than the regular staffs they take proper care of us, give us all equal attention and have a great knowledge about the field.

Placement Experience:

Our college is well known for its placements. Almost many MNC companies like Amazon,TCS, visit our college and recruit the top performing students.Students are instructed to do 30 days of internship in remote,hybrid or industrial online before their 6th semester.During the 7th semester, students become eligible to attend the placements. The highes package offered previous year was 21 lakhs per annum and the average package is around 5 lakh per annum. Here students receive 3 options 1. Placement 2. Masters 3. Government Exams . As far off noe, 98%percentage of students who opt for placements get placed. I want to get placed after finishing my degree.

Value for education and money

The cut-off should be over 80%. We can apply for admission through Anna university online admission or directly contact the college. There is a website for our college, we can contact IIHT via that website. My college

ADMISSION: Admission process was really simple while I was applying for the course. From the year 2019 JEE MAINS is mandatory for admission. 45% minimum average of mathematics, physics, chemistry put together. Improvement marks will not be considered. Admission is based on the merit of rank obtained by the candidate in the corresponding year. SEATS AND RESERVATIONS: Seats available: 60 Tamil Nadu candidates - 50% of seats OBC - 27% SC - 15% ST - 7.5% PROS: Very low tuition fees. College provides degree and diploma for only a single branch so there are only very few students studying on campus which makes the teaching learning process more transparent.
