Remarks :
Great College social life, college and youth festivals are wonderful. hands-on experience through faculty mentorship and skill development programs by the college. Very nice campus and campus life at St. Joseph College of Communication.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course covers all areas of design and animation like Vector Graphics, Raster Graphics, Character Design, Web Design, Branding Design, Interaction Design, Publication Design, Cell Animation, Stop Motion Animation, 3D Animation, and Basics of Photography, Compositing, and Visual Effects. We are also trained in software like Maya, 3Ds Max, Adobe Photoshop, etc.
Placement Experience :
The software taught during the course help us gain the skills that make us job-ready. The placements are pretty good. At least 10 companies visit our campus. Companies from Infopark and Technopark visit our campus.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is very straight forward and very affordable. It is comparable to other BA in Animation and Visual Effects program. Although there is a very little scholarship opportunity for students.
Campus Life :
All the labs are well maintained. The library and digital library is available. Studios and editing rooms are also there. The students are involved in different clubs which keeps us engaged and interested. There is a great opportunity for students to be involved in extracurricular activities.
Admission :
The admission to the course can be done through filling in the application form on the college website and the test scores considered for the merit list are the CAP test scores. The B.A Animation & Visual Effects course is offered by only two colleges in the Mahatma Gandhi University Kerala. This course aligned with my interest in Game Design and Animation.
Faculty :
All the faculty, as well as the head of the department of Animation, are helpful. They are all well-reputed in the field and teach in an interactive way covering all the basic as well as advanced concepts.
