Remarks

Nothing as such, enjoyed every bit of my master's duration.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is well designed as per the requirement for a Masters course. The kind of exposure for different industries provided thourough the seminars of well known people in the industry as well as alumni with the curriculum was tremendous. Since we had lot of alumni, renowned people & expert staff at our doorstep, the industrial visits were lined-up only once a year. The mixture & experiences of the above said people helped us a lot to secure a good placement.

Placement Experience

3.5

Let's start with internship, it was thourough college & in one of my dream marketing company Mullen Lowe Lintas. The college has a placement cell which helps in getting connected to companies for internships & placements. The 2nd year students & 1st year students form the placement cell where anyone who wishes to be a part of it, can be a part of it by showcasing his/her connections in the industry & how it can be utilised for the placements in the college. Every company has its own criteria in selecting a candidate as per their requirement, considering sales & marketing college had already given us good exposure to the industry & also mock sessions in front of camera with trainers were conducted to help crack the interviews & then the results were analysed by the trainer as well as you could see the video & improve upon. Around 75-80 % students got placed at the end of the semester.

College Events

4

Every week you have seminars lined up with well known people in the industry as well as alumni of our college for proper guidance. All management students from the college are free to go & attend such seminars. Also you have an advantage of being a part of different events maybe from some other department as well as you are a part of university.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is very low around 35,000/- annually. ie, like 70,000/- for the complete course of 2 years. Library fees additional of Rs- 200 per year. The payment mode is thourough Demand Drafts. The fees & course structure was in accordance with Govt. & had a very clear breakdown against the tuition fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships were offered to students as per the reservation system. You just had to provide the college with your cast certificate & the college takes care of it.

Campus Life

3

Gender Ration 10/3, the college didn't had accommodation of its own, since you come to mumbai, college feels you need to understand & find out your own ways of surviving in mumbai. You get exposed to lot of different streams as the college is in University premises, cultural events, dramatics, we had a chance to be a part of 102 Indian Science Congress. Since everyone in the university were at a matured stage, race, religion, cast, etc. didnt make a difference. On the other side, got a lot of exposure to different streams & different culture due to the varied courses available in the campus.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel facility was not provided to students of this college. You could easily find friends in the college of similar interests & get along with them to get a shared apartment. My annual spendings on accommodation was around 50,000/-

Alumni/Alumna

Talking about keeping relations with alumni, completely depends on person to person, your attitude, as well as the other person how he/she takes it

Admission

The reason behind me opting for this course was to have a Masters degree in Sales & Marketing from a reputed institute. It was a govt. institute, less fees, & as per my conversation with the seniors from this institute, the faculty had a varied experience as they used to also go for guest lectures & teach in category A colleges in Mumbai. The admission process was simple enough, one you have your grades for MAH CET, you apply for colleges according to your merit, you appear at the college for providing your documents for verification. You pay the fees & join the college after a month.

Faculty

4.5

Approx 6-7 lecturers were assigned for our course, aged between 45-60 years everyone being a master of their subject, Mostly PhD. The best part of the college was the faculty. Though the college would not be that great in terms of infrastructure, but if you consider the faculty, you have very renowned teachers coming in which also give guest lectures to top A category management colleges in mumbai like JBIMS, SP Jain, Sydenham etc. & carry a diverse work history in the field as well as experience in terms of teaching.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Students become eligible for placements after completing 2nd semester and entering in 3rd semester. Attendance is compulsory for getting the opportunity for placements. The companies like IDBI Bank, HDFC Bank, Property pistol, Godrej Capital are available for placements. The highest paid package is 9.75 for sales and marketing. Till now( 3rd semester) 60% to 70% students are placed. There are more opportunities for sales and marketing as compared to other fields.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
