Remarks

Teaching is too poor. They do not focus on student's carrer. Although they keep on putting pressure on the student but they do not help at all from their side. Teachers without any practical knowledge are there.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course curriculum is very poor. The subjects we are learning from the beginning of our course are of no use in practical life so we dont even try to understand them. I don't even remember the names of any subject I have studied before. Exam structure is good and it keeps you busy throughout the semester.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placement division in our college consists of 3 or 4 members out of which the head is very helpful and knowledgeable in these things. Rest all are there to enjoy the salary for no work. Talking about job opportunities if you want to go in small companies with a meagre package of 15k-20k you can have on-campus companies. However if you want to snatch something big off-campus is the only option. Considering about internships I am damn sure it's null.

College Events

2.5

Symposium of different departments are organised at regular intervals. One annual function is there in the month of December. Being in the south indian state pongal is widely celebrated in college. Sports day, Academic awards are the events that keeps happening.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Compared to other colleges yes the fees is within our pockets and that is one of the part I am happy about since B. E is always an expensive course and my parents don't have much to spend on. Soo kudos to that part.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship are not there in college. Already our college is running on trust money since the policy of college speaks not to take donations from students. Hence it's difficult to give scholarship to students and considering loan facility it's null.

Campus Life

2.5

Labs are there with poor practical equipments. Teachers allocated there themselves don't even have a basic knowledge in the experiments. Considering about sports you can give a rating in negatives out of 10 if possible. I remember in last 4 years maximum to maximum we had 10 15 sports periods at all. Even if one wants to enter the sports ground they would not allow a student to do so and if somehow a student does they would enforce a penalty on him.

Hostel Facilities

3

I'm not a hostel student but I keep on visiting my friends over there and I can tell you that there are certain positive and negative things to consider. Positive part is the cleanliness in corridors, bathrooms, rooms and food available in the mess. Negative part is the lack of proper services such as I went to my friends room and the switch board over there was not working. Another one was loose. I told him to change and he said that he had told the warden more than 10 times but no response from there. Fans installed in rooms are too old and slow and even the roofs and walls are too old with water leaking through some of them. Rating now out of 10 I would give 5.

Alumni/Alumna

Everyone is busy in his own circle. If you go and ask any help from the seniors first of all even they don't have any sort of knowledge both theoritically and practically. Secondly they will ignore us most of the times.

Admission

I searched for the college on the google. Other colleges were too expensive and we're demanding high donations which was not suitable for me and my parents so I sticked with this college from the start. I went over there met with the principal, met with the management and since I was little late in admissions my personal interview along with background checkup was done. Since I am a good alumni from the beginning they didn't faced much difficulty in letting me in. "Yes,I got it" were my words when I got the admission.

Faculty

2

I don't personally know about the faculty of other departments. So I will talk about mine. My department is the biggest department in our college. So considering all the faculties we have approximately 30 in count out of which 20 will be phd holders and one is our own dumbminded hod who tries to control and keep everyone under him. Now back to faculties only 4 or 5 are really experienced and have a proper knowledge of their subjects. Rest all are just earning salary for being degree holders and nothing else.

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
