Review about BDS in Manubhai Patel dental college

College is good in some ways and also negative in some ways so we have to adjust to the situation and complete the course with full enthusiasm and joy. College is very much helpful during exams no matter how much you have been punished.

Course curriculum is Excellent & world class it is comprehensive.but only problem is that there are 8 subjects in final year so we have to give 16 exams(8 theories + 8 practicals) which is extremely difficullt to tackle

Placements are not a apart of college in BDS in almost every dental college.But college provides 1 year compulsory internship after clearing rhe final year giving a 2000 stipend every 2 month, college also gives opportunity to serve as a tutor after 1 year internship.

Almost all days related to public health and medicine like world oral cancer day,national anti drug addiction day are celebrated ,any competition like poster making,video making,Rangoli making,street play ,play in school are organized enthusiastically.

To talk about fee structure, fee structure in our batch(2016) was at 2,80,000 per annum(1,40,000 every 6 months we have to pay with 15000 to 20000 extra for dental kit) now in present the fee is increased to 3,85,000 which i pretty much expensive.

Actually college does not provide any scholarships or loans of any kind, you can request them to extend the fee deadline, the scholarship is given by Gujarat government for students whose parents income is below 6,00,000 per annum so it is of great help to students whose parents are poor or from middle class.

For Extracurricular activities there are some sorts like volleyball ground,cricket ground, basketball ground,chess,badminton and carrom so it is enjoyable to play these sports,there are labs but those are only for PG students.

I have optedfor hostel as i am from far city ,Hostel facility is not excellent but it is good.there is a canteen nearby with a water cooler installed there.there are not much food items but few is there,hostel is not well lighted beacause it is packed from all side,so there is a little problem of air circulation,hostel infrastructure is very much old.there are lot of cracks in the building.

There are few alumni who have aacheived tremendous success like they have got admissions in AIIMS which is ahuge achievement nad one alumni Jay chauhan has become a model,kairavi buch has become a famous garba singer of popular United way of baroda.

I got the admission in this college in Bachelor of dental surgery course by giving GUJCET(test in gujarat for biology group students) and by giving 12th exam in 4 semesters. The Merit list was based on combining 12th 60% weightage and GUJCET 40% weightage.

All of the faculties in the college are overwhelmingly experienced so the teaching quality is beyond excellence.All teaching faculties are extremely helpful and supportive , you can ask any doubts at any time to them. Each faculty is asigned to mentees so full importance is given to every students.
