Remarks
Some of positive remarks which I give are, it's one of the oldest colleges in Andhra Pradesh and having senior, well experienced faculty. And our college is best platform for exposing various skills in students. Whereas, some negative feedbacks are poor infrastructure and maintenance.
Course Curriculum Overview
In my opinion, course curriculum is perfectly designed and is adaptable and learnable in given period of semester. Maximum of 7 theory subjects and minimum of 5, and 3 practical labs are allotted for a semester(approximately 5 months). Coming to exam structure, 40% are internal marks (exams conducted by self institute and question papers are set and corrected by self faculty). And this 40% is also divide in to two parts for 1st mid term exam and 2nd mid term exam. 80% of highest mark among two mid exams and 20% of least will be considered and equals to 40% of internal marks. And remaining 60% marks are external exam marks (question papers are set and corrected by anonymous paper verifier from main university where our college is under affiliated).
Placement Experience
Maximum of 350 students from all five different branches will be getting job every year. Computer science engineering branch are getting placed in maximum number because of more on-campus drives of IT companies. Yes, our college provide internship for some small courses where stipend is offered not more than ?.10,000 to ?.15,000.
College Events
Many technical paper and poster presentation symposiums and other events will be conducting every year individually by every branch. The events for bringing awareness among social life are also will be conducting. Some events which are celebrating every year are listed below: - MEXODIA - GNOSIS - TECHVIYUHA - TECHNOQUEST - SRUJANA - AXION Apart from these events, a common cultural event "ECSTATICA" is celebrated every year in end of semester for two whole days.
Fee Structure And Facilities
In my opinion, it's expensive. Approximately 1 lakh rupees per annum. Only very few colleges are having this much expensive fee structure in Andhra Pradesh. Apart from this one lakh rupees, accreditation fee, bus fee, building fee, exam fee, placement and training fee, hostel fee will be added for individuals.
Fees and Financial Aid
The only scholarship we are getting is Rs.35,000 fee reimbursement from Andhra Pradesh government. That is acceptable in our college. But from this year, YSRCP government is giving full fees reimbursement to every student who qualified in EAMCET.
Campus Life
Our institute is very good at providing chances for us in taking part of extracurricular activities and sports. Also, there are various clubs like music club, dancing club, signing club, painting club etc which provides a very good platform for students to shine their skills. Every year sports tournaments will be conducted for all 7 different sports.
Alumni/Alumna
Since our college is one of the oldest colleges in Andhra Pradesh (Established in year 1979), alumni network is spread to every corner of world. Many great talented people came out from our college and it's really an inspiration for present and upcoming students.
Admission
Entrance criteria of our college is through entrance exam(EAMCET). Seats are allotted to students who appeared and qualified EAMCET with required rank. Seats are allotted in ascending order of ranks who opted this college in their web counselling options entry. Out of 180 seats in each branch, 20 seats comes under management quota, i.e who has to pay whole tuition fee, whereas entry through EAMCET will get ?.35,000 as reimbursement form government. And, I got admission through entrance exam(EAMCET).
Faculty
Especially in Mechanical Engineering branch, we have more doctorates faculty then other branches. Even, not everyone is very good at teaching and delivering subject knowledge. Only 30-40% of faculty are very good at academics' subjects knowledge and teaching skill. And 40% are not that bad or even good. But in middle. Remaining 20-30% are very poor in teaching and also having very less knowledge about subject.
