Course Curriculum Overview
The course M.Sc. in cancer biology helps to improve the academic knowledge with practical applications of cancer biology. The latest improvements in this field are introduced to the learners. Moreover I have learned about the various techniques used in Molecular Biology.
Placement Experience
Not many companies visited the college for placements. Many students got the job off-campus. Placements are good for B.Sc. and M.Sc. courses. Internships are offered with walk-in interview and the pay will be less.
College Events
There are many events celebrated in the campus and the most notable events celebrated in the college are the International Women’s Day celebration, Hospital Week celebration and Uttarayan Celebration for Cancer Patients.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The required fee for the course M.Sc. in Cancer Biology is feasible when compared with other colleges. I have paid an amount of rupees 13,500 per semester. There is fee relaxation for girls which is around 12000 INR.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is available for both boys and girls inside the campus. I would say that the infrastructure of the hostel is not too bad and it is ok ok. There are also many private hostels available to the students outside the campus.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network of the college is not great. There are only a less number of alumni present inside the college and they are not active. We hardly spoke with our seniors and I remember talking to them once or twice.
Admission
The college offers admission based on entrance test. One has to submit an application form for admission with an application fee INR 100 to make an application. Application can be submitted both online and offline. Post application submission, entrance test is conducted and based on the performance in the test admission is granted.
Faculty
The faculty of the college are experienced and knowledgeable which is evident through their works. The faculty was supportive and inspired me to learn modules like Molecular Oncology and Cancer Diagnosis & Therapy. They provide valuable guidance whenever we approach them with queries.
