Remarks

College is an average college. Education provided is good, but not result oriented. Infrastructure of the college is not that good. It gives a school like environment. Labs for practicals need more modern equipment. Library facility is also provided.

College has to work in this area, placement are not good in this college. College has no centralized placement system. Internship opportunities are also not provided. Student has to search on their own and can do internship.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee in Jamia salafiya Pharmacy College is expensive if we compare it with the education. Fee for B. Pharmacy course is 98000 per year. With other extra expenses. Fee according to infrastructure and education is high if compared with other college.

Fees and Financial Aid

College do not provide any kind of scholarship facilities for the students. Students can apply for scholarships provided by Kerala University, state government and central government. Loan facilities are not provided by the college. Students can get loan through banks personally.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are provided by the college. Separate hostels for both boys and girls. Girls hostel is in the college premises. Girls hostel can accommodate about 250 girls. Boys hostel is outside the college premises within walkable distance. Mess facilities are available in hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

College has alumni association. Students get facility to contact alumni through the association for guidance. College hosts alumni get-together. Seniors help us in solving our problem and also guide in making notes. Mostly hostel students get regular help from them.

Admission

Admission in Jamia salafiya Pharmacy College is through entrance exam. The entrance exam held by KUHS. One who clear the cut off in KEAM exam gets admission in this college. I got 10053 in general category. I got admission based on my rank in KEAM exam. B. Pharmacy course is of 4 years duration. The total intake per year for B. Pharmacy course is 60 seats. College is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Science.

Faculty

The faculties are good in this college, but results are not up to the mark. College is an average college regarding education. Faculties provide help to students where they need. Number of faculty in the college about 23.

Placement Experience:

Amrita offers a good placement opportunities with different pharmaceutical companies like Cipla,Sun Pharma,etc. Eight semester students are eligible for campus placements. Cipla, Johnson and Johnson,Sun Pharma, Dr.Reddy,etc. I think the highest package was about 3,00,000/- per annum. 100% placement will be provided. I am aiming for further studies.

I choose this course because i like the chemical aspects and studies of drugs.the syllabus is pretty hard because of the frequent examinations.we have two internals and its university exams in just 6 month of time.so feels like very rush.but the syllabus is very vast.faculty could actually improve their method of teachings.

Remarks:

KVM College of Pharmacy has good infrastructure, built up in 1 acre. College provide transportation facility for its students coming from various locations. Those wheel transportation has to pay an additional fee. College has a library which has capacity of 100 students at a time. Library has subscription of various national and international journals. College also has a medical garden which is helpful for students during the practicals.

In order be eligible for this course you need to pass twelveth standard in science stream with 50 percentage for physics,chemistry and biology. There is no need for any examination for this course. The application form and fees can be filled and submitted directly by visiting the college.
