It's alright. You won't get to have a lot of fun except during the culturals. Once you complete the course you will be confident of your skills. But it is a difficult course with a tough program and difficult faculty,

It is a good course, which gives basic knowledge of dentistry, structured according to the rules of dci. With yearly exams, which determine whether you go to the next year. Four years with one year compulsory internship.

The job opportunities are relatively limited in India but there are tremendous opportunities abroad. There is one year compulsory internship with stipend of 12684 rupees per month. Internship is the period during which you can learn a lot of new techniques and procedures.

There are a few CDE programs and one intra college event, which comprises of cultural and sports events. Sometimes Colgate and oral B conduct some programs. The culturals is called as jhankar and the sports event is called as zest.

Being a government run institute the fee structure is very feasible. Fees is around 20,000 rupees per year for four years. The material which we buy may cost somewhere between 5,000 to 20,000 per year, depending on the year of study.

I didn't avail any scholarships. As far as I know there is one scholarship available for people belonging to scheduled castes and tribes, which can be availed after contacting the office and applying.

There is a basketball court, a volley ball court and a badminton court in both the gents and ladies hostel, there is a children park and indoor games like chess carrom and table tennis are also available

I was a day scholar but the hostel is pretty nice, with the hostel fees around 6,000 per year. Mess fees is paid monthly which comes to about 2,500 per month. Till 3rd year you share a room from final year you get an individual room in the ladies hostel

Alumni are quite helpful but there is no proper network l. If you can track them down they will be willing to help you. You can't survive in the clinical practice without the help of your seniors. Because dentistry is solely hand skills

I got admission through centac councilling which was based on 12th standard marks but now it is based on neet score, which is used for centac councilling which is conducted in the pondicherry engineering college campus.

Some of them are really awesome, who put all their efforts to teach us all the techniques they know. While some don't bother with teaching. It is a practical course where you get a lot of exposure because of the patient flow. Our seniors are our best teachers there.
