College life

My college is one of the best college, accredited grade 'A' by NAAC, is very close to nature. It has a lot of greenery, flaura and fauna which one can enjoy here. The environment is also healthy. We can name it as the best college in ludhiana.

It provides a wide range of course curriculum including honors in different subjects. If i talk about the exam structure, it follows semester system following mid sems. Generally there are six semesters (two semesters in one academic session) in undergraduate Courses and four semesters in post graduate courses.

The college have a placement cell which has link with many local as well as domestic and multinational companies. Different programmes and initiative such as placement drives are taken by the college's placement cell for welfare of student. Stipends are given on the basis of student's potential.

Many cultural and academic events and festivals are celebrated in my college. Lohri festival is one of the major event celebrated in the college. Many actors and influencers also approach college for promotion purpose. Various National and International seminars are also conducted in the college campus.

Being a government college, the fee is very feasible and comparatively very less as compare to other private instituitions. Besides this, the college also provide self financed courses whose fees is a little bit higher but not out of feasibility.

The college provides scholarships for minorities, backward classes as well as financially weak students. Meritorious students are also entertained with scholarships. Fees concession is also given to poor students.

There are many extra curricular activities done in the college. Sports department of college has achieved many successful victories in national and international level. If i talk about talents, academics and arts, the college has shown very good performance in zonal and inter zonal youth festivals.

Yes, i have opted hostel facility. The college provides hostel facility for girls as well as boys. The fees is reasonable. Infrastructure is also good but needed to be improved. However, many things lacks due to ignorance of duty by related responsible person.

The college provides various courses in more than 10 fields, commerce, physics, chemistry, mathematics, IT to name a few.The admission is given completely on merit basis. However for taking admission in some courses such as M.com Business innovation, entrance test is taken. There are different reservation categories such as Scheduled caste, Backward class, Defence, Teacher's ward, Rural area school, Border area, etc. I got admission in rural area school category. The application procedure for taking admission in college is completely online. The portal provides required information from time to time such as counseling schedule, application status, etc. There is no fees taken for applying in any course. If you see your name in the merit list, you have to appear at the predecided venue which is conveyed through portal with all the required documents.

The faculty of the college is highly qualified. There are more than 100 teachers in the college belonging to different departments.Most of them are cooperative and understanding and always support needed and deserved ones. But being the faculty of a 'government college ', there is lack of regularity in some departments.
